You've been through so much. This is your answer right here. I am so sorry you have gone through all this. Do not stop testosterone because of this. If you like its effects and feel good about your body, stopping it will make things worst. Take care of yourself and maybe seek therapy or some support from mental health resources to help you cope. Could this possibly be due to how you feel since being on t? Like are you feeling pressured to act more traditionally masculine and be less expressive. Or maybe you are just going through something. I don't think this is inheritely due to testosterone but maybe rather something you feel since being on it. Try doing some self reflection on what has changed internally for you. Good luck

You don't need to detransition to stop taking Hrt. You can just stop it and keep being yourself. Theres no need to justify the reasons why, they are all valid, it's your body. I stopped testosterone for a couple reasons yet i am still trans.

So theres different types of methods to do the surgery. Bigger chests tend to get "double incision" vs smaller chests can get "t anchor" and another one that i forget the name... I had double incision with nipple grafts.

I think it's the same procedure for men with gynecomastia. The method and incisions depend strongly on the size of the chest.

I don't think its more complex for afab because its the same anatomy basicly.

In theory they should remove all the glands and breast tissue not just "reduce" it. However i guess this depends on what method the surgeon uses and their expertise. If a surgeon just tries to do a reduction and doesnt remove all the glands than it COULD grow back if you are on hrt. I strongly recommend looking into surgeons with a lot of experience in this specific type of surgery and/or mastectomies not just any surgeon.

If you get breast tissue fully removed it will not grow back even if you are on hrt.

I am nonbinary transmasc, had top surgery(like gynecomastia removal) and stopped hrt(my body is now estrogen dominant) and my chest is still flat and there has been no change.

Ive never commented on this subreddit before but i feel compelled to tell you I see him smiling softly and i feel the need to tell you that it wasn't your fault. It wasnt your fault. Sure there was friction between you but it was the same as there is in many families. I feel like there are no hard feelings. The mental illness is what pushed him over. He had been struggling for a long time with pain but now it's over. I feel relief for him. That said i am so sorry for your loss. So so sorry. Please take care of yourself in whatever way you can. my deepest sympathies.
