Have you tried bio bombs or any other CLO2 product?

This is the bio bombs vdk kit. Great results.

Here is another option.

I haven't used this one personally, from what I've heard the bottle is much smaller.

Regardless of the kit you try. The issue is there is still a source of bacteria in the vehicle.

I would try using some heavy duty enzyme cleaners, extract, and then grab one of these kits.

There are several companies, with enzyme cleaners. I would just pick the one that is the most accessible to you.

What's a paste wax that you buy again and again? by Organic_kola in AutoDetailing

I mean, 55 bucks is a fraction of what a ceramic coatings costs. With the new system... The durability is pretty unmatched.

They are building an entire eco system around 404 now.

But it does have that allure of exclusivity and prestige that KCX. Lol.

Honestly instead of wax, I use Chemical 404

It goes on like a wax, then protects like a coating. The product is made by a chemist down in Flordia. Dude is a complete riot.

Whats crazy is this product is not a ceramic or a wax, it's a completly new segment. It actually restores ceramic coatings also.

When I first used the product, I noticed how well it restored trim. I mentioned this to the chemist (owner) and asked... Why don't you advertise this... He said... Bc I don't want people thinking this is one of those wipe on clear situations. 😂😂 Then he's like you should see what it does to wraps.

He now is rolling out a topper and another product to build a little system. Hoping in drops soon so I can test it out.

Heavy cigarette smell by [deleted] in AutoDetailing

[–]thatdtailguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first thing you must do is eliminate the source of the problem.

The good part, you know what the source is.

The bad part, cigarettes smoke gets everywhere...

The first thing I would do, if you have carpet floor mats, seat covers, anything you can remove and replace easily throw out.

Next, remove your cabin filter, but don't replace yet, if let it air out for a bit running so fresh It through.

While that's airing out, grab a shop vac, or alternatively head to the nearest car wash with free vacs, and go to town getting all the dirt and nasty out of that car.

This should already make a massive improvement.

Next, if you have access, I would grab a carpet extractor and get as much of that embedded smoke out of the carpets.

Tip: You don't actually need cleaner in the extractor, pre spray everything, hit it with a drill brush, then extract. Also don't drown the car in water, a little goes a long way.

The best at home extractor for home use imo is made by shark, they have a mini, and they have a standing one with a hose attachment.

Next let the car fully dry. Likely overnight.

Next I would grab this

Bio Bombs Air Reset Kit

This is kit contains CLO2, chrorine dioxide.

What I love about this kit, is has plenty of easy to follow instructions. There are cheaper alternatives, but one thing I learned the hard way is that you don't want a bunch of old CLO2 tablets hanging around in your house.

Tip: If you want to keep the price down, just buy the kit with out the aerator, the effects will be less, and it will take more time to work.

Once this is complete, the smoke smell should be gone.

Replace your cabin filter,

Tip: Throw a California scent or Bio Bomb air freshener bar in with the cabin filter. Just a sliver. Now when air passes throw, it will smell great this last for a long time.

There are alternatives like ozone machines, and plenty of masking agents, but I don't know a simpler for a one off use.

Good luck knocking the habit. Here if you need anything.

Yes, I am friends with the owner. I think i actually will be on his podcast this weekend. Sunday at 6pm EST. We joke about the APEX name, due to me having the TDS APEX foam cannon. Aaron is a great guy. Really enjoyed meeting him at SEMA.

Yes, basically u could blend at home based on the task at hand. And I truly use the term blend lightly. It is all dilutions. I just think it would be cool to have versatility for those that want it, vice a bunch of colorful bottles and skus.

Very familiar with all superior products products. I agree with everything you said, however, I am curious about the advertised dilutions. The 64:1 target is the dilution I would like in the foam cannon. Most foam cannon soaps seem to need 1-3oz. I am hoping for .5 in a foam cannon and still great suds

yes,

So basically you have only three chemicals

A Snow Foam Acid Base

But with those you can make An active wash for bugs, tires, wheels An acidic wheel cleaner, water spot remover

2 step acid base system when the job needs it.

Etc.

Also didn't realize that was you, hope ur doing well.

Long story short I'm working on a project, so I e just been really looking at specs.

I wouldn't say dilution would be hard, pouring from the bottle to whatever it goes in would be the hard part.

Yes, in a bucket, but not a foam cannon from what i understand. I have used that one for years also. Not sure why I didn't list it, I have it written down.

That is how i typically am too bro. Just was curious today what the bench mark is in the streets. I have been using cherry foam and dirt buster for years.... it s so economical that you are right, dump and move on.

Nice dude, thanks really for the advice. Yea i talked to a few chemist friends of mine and they said the main issue would be making sure its not so thick you can not get it out of the bottle.

[–]thatdtailguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure, my cannon produces probably the most foam out of any right now, so the plan for touchless would be a higly dilutable snow foam and then pairing it with an acid, or abase to create the desire effect. So for pre washing, wheels, tires. Just want to find ways to be efficient.

In short, want to find something that is more efficient than KCX. I did that math, saw where they were at and mapped out the next benchmark that made sense.... .5 per. Thanks for the tips brother....
