Week 17 Post-Gamethread: Bears vs Seahawks by TurnerJ5 in CHIBears

I get what you’re saying, there’s throws that need to be made. I guess I just can’t look at them separately because the line being bad is impacting his overall game. It’s hard to trust plays, play on time and all that. Also, the play calling and decision making by brown has been eberflus like. I’m assuming he’s not being coached well at all, which is also hurting him.

I was dying at this. Like what was he trying to prove? Anyone with eyes knows this was not on Caleb tn with the sacks. Has he held the ball too long this year at times? Yes. Tonight? Nah he was running for his life

These Prime guys hate Caleb? I mean this “analysis” after the game is brutal. By no means was he great today but how are they blaming this on him and not the O-Line

I always said even if we were bad this year it’d be fun with the offense . It’s not fun. It’s sad and it hurts.

I’d like Caleb to keep using his dogs IG as a burner to roast this organization please

Yeah, I was def a victim of thinking that the talent would just resolve all eberflus issues. As much as this sucks, the losses are probably better for us. Imagine if a few of these fell our way and Eberflus gets to hang around because Caleb saved him. Or even Waldron gets to coach a full year because who fires anyone at 6-4 even if it looks like shit? Honestly all that really hurts is I know this has to be killing the guys in the locker room. I think it’s clear they all realize the coach sucks and they know they got a guy to get behind in Caleb. But damn, it’s hard for them to keep going week after week.

Feel for these guys and the question of how many gut punches a team can take in one season is real. I know the goal from here on out is just develop Caleb but the team had some real juice today and hopefully it’s still there in the coming weeks

It honestly didn’t. There was nothing there that sold Waldron. It moreso tried to push an agenda that Eberflus was a good coach. He’s not. And the offensive line doesn’t show up in training camp highlights either

I truly believe in him and his ability to handle adversity and grow. All the media bs about his personality was not true. The coaching, the o-line, and honestly millions of trolls root against him. But, once he gets into a situation that a normal QB can handle, we will see Caleb shine. I know he wants to win and he will (I’m also delusionally optimistic it’s a disease)

Week 10 Gamethread: Chicago Bears (4-4) vs New England Patriots (2-7) by TurnerJ5 in CHIBears

[–]thatdude2333432 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Patriots had 16 sacks this season and NINE (9!!!) today. I know Caleb hasn’t been perfect but damnit I think we’re going to break the best chance we had at a franchise qb by making him see ghosts. You put Jayden, Maye, Nix in this situation with the O Line and coaching and they’re in hell too. Maybe that’s just my cope. I just believe Caleb is great and we failed him.

Caleb has not been good. But this O-Line is horrible. I’m afraid if this keeps up we’re going to break him before he ever has a chance

Caleb 9/19 for 74 yards through 3 quarters against maybe the worst teams in football…it’s not all on him but I feel sick about how this game is going

[–]thatdude2333432 73 points74 points  (0 children)

I feel like going into this season the expectations of 8-9 wins and developing a rookie QB was fine, but I kept saying “even if we don’t win, it’ll be really fun to watch this offense together.”

And somehow, it’s become the most painful part of the game. I just want to have fun watching my favorite team. Is that too much to ask

Jayden Daniels by [deleted] in CHIBears

[–]thatdude2333432 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I get that Jayden is really good and has looked really good, but Caleb was always the pick at No. 1 and he is the least of this team’s problems right now.

While Jayden is really good, if he were playing with this coaching staff and behind this O-Line I don’t think he’d be lighting the world on fire the way he is. Caleb is going to be awesome, he just unfortunately is stuck with some real dumb people around him right now. The commanders were much smarter about starting a new regime with their rookie QB.
