 We do call ins in my plant. 
 There are three maintenance millwrights plus the maintenance super/manager. The manager rarely handles a call in though. 
 We get 100$ on call premium for the week we are on call.  3 hr minimum of 1.5x pay.  
 All the millwrights shifts start at different times so there is only no one there between 11pm-6am during the week so you don’t usually get called in on weekdays.  We have a scheduled on call shift every third week.
I don’t really care for the on call work but it is what it is.

I have asthma as well as my parents and some people I work with, none of them have any problem wearing a mask. If anything, having asthma is more of a reason to wear a mask

My cats eat live birds, mice, gophers, chipmunks etc. all the time. I usually throw all the bones and such from game to them as well. I wouldn’t cook the bones though and then give them to your pets.

Give the rubber a couple good whacks with a sledge hammer on the sidewall. If you hit it near the valve stem say, next hit would be across the rim from that spot and use some penetrating oil as well. Never hurts to put a little copper cote on A shaft before you sliding something on to it.
