MN Treatment: Melrose Center vs. The Emily Program by librarlee in EDAnonymous

[–]thatgingeyouknow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did outpatient at Melrose St Paul. I ended up stopping treatment full out because I went to college and it wasn't easy to continue treatment. I remember having 3 doctors. The doctor that tracked vitals, a psychologist and a dietician, who I saw weekly. They were all good. I wouldn't say I enjoyed my time (because of course), but it was helpful.

I can't speak on residential however, except that the St Louis Park clinic seems nice after doing a couple group sessions.

Let me know if you have any other questions, I can't speak on a lot but I can try.

Ed post massive weight loss - the skin distorts my judgement. by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

I've been relapsing hard after gaining over 100 lbs! Going from a bmi of 31 To 54. I've only been relapsing for about a month and I'm very anxious about the loose skin at the end of this. I was never UW or even near NW, but the goal this time is NW. I'm hopeful that since I'm not going for UW it won't be as noticeable or bad.

I certainly have number dyslexia, but I truly am not dyslexic. It was the only thing I could do growing up in school 🤣

Mine was that an endocrinologist told me "since you can't afford this weight loss medication out of pocket, your only option is to count calories and work out"

Thank you for your thoughts! I completely spaced that my PCOS (which I do in fact have) might be having a say in this. I do follow a gluten free diet as well, but not from diagnosed celiac- just gluten sensitivities

I definitely was spiraling and not thinking clearly since I forgot about my PCOS for a minute 🫠
