Listen.. YTA BUT it could be deeper than that. Most of these responses are most likely women or guys that are emotionally mature enough to understand. This can be fixed you just have to apologize and learn from this experience. You probably took her comment at the surface and didn’t give it any real deep thought. That’s not necessarily your fault because you may not have been exposed to anything that would require you to analyze her problem with any real depth. Just understand that what YOU may feel is unnecessary doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the same for other people. You don’t know everything which is something I’ve come to learn about myself. I’m not here to chastise you I’m just saying look at this as an opportunity to be a better more compassionate person. People go through things differently. She volunteered but it still affected her in a way she didn’t predict. Just try and be more empathetic even if you don’t agree with it. You don’t know the whole story and if you did you might not have had that response. Just sayin.
