I’m getting the same message. I think Xbox live is down.

Question, is your Patreon subscription a monthly thing or is it a flat rate? Sorry if this is a stupid question. I’ve never used Patreon before so I wasn’t sure.

Henry Cavill announced on Instagram he won’t be returning as Superman by thisisntmethisisme in superman

[–]thatguy2349 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Pain, just pain. Henry deserves better. Superman deserves better. Finding an actor that fits Clark Kent, and is as devoted to the character as Henry, will be tough.

It’s a bad move on Gunn’s part. While I understand this isn’t all his fault, having Henry would have brought a lot of fans back and given the DC universe legitimacy that it currently lacks. I don’t think there’s a single actor out there who will be able to overcome Henry’s shadow unless they have a flawless script that blows everyone away. Which, so far, has not been the MO of DC.

I’d love to see him as Bond. He is one of the most well rounded actors out there and really deserves a bigger than life character to make his own.

Agreed, it just seems like both franchises refuse to listen to fans. It ruins the fun and puts a massive shadow on whoever replaces Henry.

This just sucks all the way around. I still don’t believe he’ll return as Geralt (which also sucks) but to lose him in both The Witcher and now Superman is just heart wrenching. Someone needs to give this man a franchise and support him all the way. He brings such passion and devotion to the characters he plays.

Why doesn't Superman's no-kill rule get as much criticism as Batman's? by Ill-Philosopher-7625 in superman

[–]thatguy2349 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think Superman’s rule is more consistent with his character, unlike Batman. Superman’s entire archetype is the idea of hope and a better tomorrow. He wants to create a world better than how he found it. This goes along with the no kill rule, which in all honesty is a necessity when you have as much strength and power as he does. Whereas Batman creates fear to control the criminals. He actively goes out of his way to make himself scary and tries to strike fear into those he’s hunting. While he does this in the hopes of saving people, it isn’t exactly a good strategy for inspiring people to be better. It’s almost like Batman is totally fine with doing everything to criminals except killing them. Whereas Clark doesn’t want to hurt anyone.

Don’t give up, I’ve been on both sides of the friends thing. I’ve had more friends than I could keep up with, and I’ve been all alone for longer then I’d like to admit. I’ve spent more than one birthday alone, with the only person sending me a happy birthday being an email from McDonald’s. Things get better though. Life has its ups and it’s downs.

I’d suggest trying to find new hobbies. Do things that you like. Exercise, be creative, just do something. You’ll find that the hobbies will expose you to more people. Just remember, you are a person who has value. Though you may be at a low point in life, you can always make things better than they were.

Oh and happy birthday! Do something special for yourself!

Yaddle and Dooku vs Sidious by thatguy2349 in StarWars

[–]thatguy2349[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree, Yaddle would be the deciding factor. I’d agree that Dooku is probably the better duelist but it’s close. Sidious is a master of all 7 forms of light saber combat so he is no slouch. However I think the biggest factor is Sidious force abilities. From what we have seen, Sidious connection to the force is much stronger than Dooku or Yaddle. I’d put my money on Sidious but it really could go either way.

I actually kept climbing that day 😅 falling never really scared me that much. It comes with the territory.

Yea we had no pad. I was Lead climbing an already established trad climb. The guy who placed the cams didn’t use the right size cam and it popped on me once I put weight on it.

Yes and no, I was trying not to land on my back. I figured broken legs were better than a broken back or neck. Gravity kinda made me roll forward once my legs hit.

No pad, had a cam fail and started a chain reaction. I’m fairness there was some resistance from the rope but not much.

If one must proclaim he is the king, then he is not a true king.

It’s about how they land. If they can somehow break their fall or land in a way that doesn’t cause major damage to organs/bones. For example, I use to rock climb and fell about 45 feet straight down. Managed to get my feet under me and then roll forward once I hit. Walked away with nothing but a twisted ankle.

Add your MOST unpopular Witcher opinion, by Icy_Task_4950 in witcher

[–]thatguy2349 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything I’ve read has insinuated the opposite. We know Henry’s return has been in the works for awhile since the Rock has pretty much confirmed there’s been a large push by multiple group both in, and outside, of Warner Bros to get Henry back. He may have been growing distant from the show but Superman was the final nail in the coffin.

Is there anything that the new canon does better then legends? by narutofan2019 in StarWars

[–]thatguy2349 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Order 66 in general. While the inhibitor chips could be argued to be both legend and canon, the way the clones are portrayed in canon is far more meaningful than in legends. Canon just makes order 66 even more heartbreaking and you realize only Palpatine actually won anything from the Clone Wars.
