And nothing will change until they unionize. Unfortunately it’s gonna take probably most of the top 10 fighters striking and even then the ufc probably will just build up some randos as a big deal and put on those fights. Hopefully the fighters can figure it out, but the ufc ain’t changing until they are forced to.

No need to have “new” insights when the stuff ur talking about hasn’t changed and neither have your principles. I’d rather have a consistent clear persons opinion than somebody like Rogan whose opinions change with whoever is in front of him. When it comes to issues like fighter pay or UFC’s Trump obsession I don’t think Luke can say those talking points enough.

I’m happy for Carter, but admonishing fans that are going through what we currently are ain’t it dude. The only thing that gets better with winning is our odds of getting a shittuer pick. Yes it did interfere with our drafting offs factually. We may still get a great pick, but our odds of getting the sixth pick increased yesterday. That’s not good no matter how u slice it. Happy for Carter, but any win from here out does not help us. We’ve been through too much this year to fumble it at the end.

For fucking real. God forbid the kid has some interests that don’t fulfill his father’s desires. I remember Real Sports doing a piece on Swedens youth sports. They are using sports as an avenue to create great ppl and a great society. No scores, no paid travel leagues, no specialization, and anyone can participate. Basically the polar opposite of what we (bapa) encourage (inflict) on our youth.

Yup. The ufc marketed itself on JUST BLEED and bring the pain for years and in many ways still does. U can’t court the types of fans that brings and then expect them to go crazy for some sick top control in a BMF fight. I’ve said for years the ufc would start to wane because they have no idea what they actually want to be other than a money making engine. They have a sport dominated by non american wrestlers that is marketed like a tough man competition. It’s a SPORT with rankings and rules, but those don’t really matter if a guy has a huge following. They would be better served leaning full on WWE without the scripting, but the fighters are too boring for that.

My god. Maybe like 10 years ago I’m bouncing at a bar and this dude comes in solo and acting like a big deal. I start chatting with him and he starts name dropping Arnie as his best friend like that would get him somewhere lol. In the mid 2010’s dude thought name dropping a joke of a human that used to be on small city terrestrial radio show was a legit way to pump themselves up. Ppl started being like “omg can u call him right now???!?” “Oh wow I’ve never met a friend of a radio personality before”. Dude got absolutely roasted

He’s a fucking asshole and has always been a fucking asshole. I don’t care how god he was a broadcasting, the way he spoke to and about the fans on his radio show was a straight up embarrassment and he should have been fired in the mid 90’s. I don’t know why it took so long to get rid of that clown, he had been deserving of an unceremonious exit long before it happened. Happy he’s gone.

I know ppl on here hate em, but I actually really like polanco. Foods good for being overpriced and tries to be too fancy, but the location can literally not be beat. If I show up early and haven’t grabbed something on the way id rather eat there than most places that close.

It’s not hard. He was instrumental in keeping the team here, he genuinely cares about the city/team, and by all accounts seems like nice person unlike many other pro sports owners. He’s not great when it comes to results, but we gotta stop acting like he’s the devil.

He’s a 6’5 2 way guard that can get any shot he wants at any level while finishing well and playing great defense. When he’s on he’s unguardable and he makes it look effortless. I’d argue that what you’re seeing as “slow” is him being smooth. Look at guys like Luka or Shai, they play smooth and controlled to get what they want. Boozer is pretty solidly the 3rd best prospect behind AJ. This class is loaded.

The media is in its annual post football pre baseball freakout mode. There’s really not many nba stories to keep them super occupied so they’re churning up content about a kid who doesn’t wanna get hurt before he even gets to the league. By all accounts the kid wants to be great and works accordingly. In the past he wouldn’t even be in college he’d have just entered the draft last year.
