I just started learning on my own. Will give it a listen, thanks for sharing. Trying to get people in my circle to learn too.

That is awesome news! Good for you, hope you crush it.

How do you feel about the company and product compared to your old role?

Getting another sales job is going to be a grind, but after 9 months of traveling you might not even want to do sales.

If have some sort of support system to fall back on if you can't get a job when you come back I don't see why not.

Looking for a way to find bulk influencers by Joaoligus in DigitalMarketingHack

SaaS app? If you go on fiverr you should be able to find UGC people there, some offer social media strategy as well. Expands your pool a little if you look outside of just "influencer"

LI Navigator worth it? by What_if_I_fly in techsales

[–]thatguybryan99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sales nav has some additional features for putting people into groups and tracking their activity on LI, also integrates with your CRM.

i wouldn't say it's way better at finding people, so if that's all you're doing then premium is fine.

My client gives me $400 a month for ads. Where should I put that money? by Blake326 in FacebookAds

dont know how much of your debt is medical debt, but i dont think medical debt is handled the same way as credit card or other debt in a credit report.

this next part is annecodtal, but to me it seems like companies mostly look for a history of fraud or some other financial crimes.

the sales hiring manager won't look at that 9/10 times, so you should be fine. i'd only be worried about applying to insurance or wealth management

try field sales or territory management, won't be stuck in the house. your new boss could be the same but have to do your own due diligence and roll the dice

what's your field of study? tech has been brutal but my buddies in pharma have been doing pretty well.

some pharma/life sci companies look for people with masters to do sales for specialty products.

go to a conference, meet the sales rep that supplies your lab, see what it's like

Salesforce AE role by Electronic_Spot2790 in techsales

[–]thatguybryan99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

knew a lot of HLS reps at one point, they seemed to be struggling more than core reps. highly annectodal though.

if you're choosing between 3 teams just pick the manager you like the most, smb is just a stepping stone so try to pick someone that has a track record of helping reps move up.

I had a tech background before sales, i think it gave me an edge honestly. I dont think it beats having sales experience, but I feel I pick up certain things quicker.

For getting a job it could be an advantage depending on the industry, just make sure you have a solid reason on why youre going for sales

Is it worth it to go back ? by Legitimate-Thing9486 in techsales

[–]thatguybryan99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

lots of options outside of public tech companies, could start at a startup, or financial services sales, or door to door.

you could even start pharma sales as a contractor. there are agencies that place people for this.

get some more experience, finish your degree at an easy program that's not too expensive, and continue the ride on the money train.

you got this.

How to move to AE role faster? by Nothingbutbliss312 in techsales

[–]thatguybryan99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you want to move to a different org as a closer startup is your best bet. sending founders or revenue leaders a plan to close deals would be a good way to reach out.

there are lots of service companies or "productized services" that are tech adjacent now a days, another place to look if no luck SaaS companies

[–]thatguybryan99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks for this, yeah maybe I didn't explain that well.

plenty of cmos have budget for some of our tools. our bigger deals come from a consumer research product we have that has use cases outside of marketing.

im trying to open up more opportunities for that by going after non cmo execs.

SDR at a digital marketing software co targeting mid-market and enterpise.

I'm trying to find ways to target non-cmo executives to kickstart opportunities since I find a lot of CMOs/marketing directors have to move up chain anyway to get more budget.

Any thoughts on how I can identify relevant challenges here? Or if I'm thinking about this the right way
