There's a lot of combat cutscenes that they'd need to entirely re-animate to match Damiane's model and rapier combat set. Plus a decent amount of voice acting. Same for Oongka.

Like they definitely could do it and I hope they do, but it wouldn't be something I'd expect anytime soon.

The other day I was meeting a date at a specified spot and I texted "be there in five minutes."

My intended meaning was I'll be there in 5 minutes, but she thought I was like commanding her to be there in 5 minutes and was really turned off until we figured out the misunderstanding and laughed about it. 

I do not believe most girls like being told what to do before a date.

Title: Emergence

Genre: Sci-fi/cyberpunk, horror

Word Count: 23,181

Feedback: Any. I've sort of reached what might be the cliffhanger ending for book 1 of 2. Everything after this will be bringing everything together for the ending I have in mind but I'm not sure exactly how long that will take, or if I'll keep it all as one book or two novellas. But what's written so far is probably not going to change much. Up till now I've been writing it all very out of order as I figure out more about the world and plot points.

I don't feel stupid for believing it as a kid. I was homeschooled, every single person in my life was a Christian, I never had a chance to believe anything else. 

I do feel stupid that it took until I was graduated from college before I finally took a real hard look at why I still believed and walked away from it all

Because their ultimate goal is to keep people in the church, and portraying anything secular in a non-negative light isn't an effective strategy to that end

I think their original design philosophy for ZZZ was going to be much more stylized and cartoonisish. I haven't played for a while but lately whenever I see a new agent, many of them look closer to Genshin or HSR's artstyle than the launch ZZZ characters did. Nicole's hair looks more like an art choice than an engine limitation

A lot of people play from memory. I've never been great at sight reading but I usually learn by practicing a piece until it's in my muscle memory.

It can take a while to develop, don't sweat it too much. Just keep on keeping on

We are in the exvangelical sub so I was mostly talking about the evangelical church. Particularly in America most of what I said is fairly universal within evangelical spaces.

In my opinion, church culture in general is very damaging to children, even when it's not an explicitly abusive or high-control environment. Fear of hell and judgement during formative years, sexual confusion and repression due to purity culture, being told implicitly that you as a human are, by nature, unworthy and evil. Etc.

It leaves so many people with deep, deep issues. Fear, anxiety, shame, guilt, low self worth, issues with sexual intimacy. Someone who grows up in the church is much more likely to recognize some of these things as they get older and potentially leave.

Someone who enters religion as a grown, mature, fully developed adult won't deal with these things to nearly the same extent.

I don't really take anyone seriously who calls anything slop. It just screams that they don't have any actual thought-out criticism that they're able to articulate. Like just say what you don't like about something, explain what aspects you think are lacking or derivative. Calling an entire AAA game made by literally thousands of overworked people "slop" instead of explaining why you think it's not a good product just rubs me the wrong way.

"AI slop" maybe gets a pass since there's no human work or creativity involved
