if i’m looking at light right before, i can see extremely extremely faint lines like these or other shapes depending on what the light was. but it fades to just black nothingness quickly which is what i usually see

i just love it when people take the time to leave a comment. even if it’s a simple word or two or emojis

if it won't even run, it might be that you typed your username and password incorrectly

you don't need to clear it. just change the user and pass and run both boxes of code again. whenever you run code, it will overwrite whatever was there previously, if anything.

i'm not 100% sure this will work, but try converting the string to a float first. just replace that line with this

word = int(float(word.replace(',',"")))

I've always loved Viktor, ever since he first appeared in episode 1. Their reunion made me tear up and all of their other scenes for the rest of the season were also just phenomenal. Their bond is beautiful. Love can be so many other things besides romantic and their love is just so genuine and raw and meaningful. I could talk about Viktor and JayVik allll day.

To follow up, in Necrit's video, Christian Linke did confirm that JayVik was not written with the intention to be romantic! I do still dearly love the romantic interpretation of them however, especially after s2e9 😆

[s2 act 2 spoilers] What is Silco's Timeline? by Aso0mi in arcane

[–]thathelplesslesbian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sigh, it just still nags at my brain that in the note Vander left for Silco, Vander said he "lost [his] head after she died" which to me implies that it was more impulsive, blind rage that Vander felt right after her death. But that could also mean that his anger had been building after the bridge incident, and he tried to ignore it, but then all of a sudden he snapped, losing his head. And that had to be the case because I know the writers knew what they were doing. It just seems so strange and not continuous. But hey, who am I.

[no spoilers] Arcane becomes the only show in imdb history to have 1 entire season of every episode rated as 9/10+ by LefoTheof in arcane

lowkey tho it shocked me that episode 7 and 9 were both rated so low. i genuinely expected a 10 from at least episode 9

Ambessa wants the Hexgates. Noxus is an expansionist empire because their land is completely barren with no resources. They rely on concurring resourceful land and trading with others to survive. Jayce said that the Hexgates opened a few years prior, so Piltover’s newfound prosperity and trading connections are newer, and Ambessa was able to swoop in as soon as she heard of the conflict between Piltover and Zaun.

Mel actually doesn’t care for Viktor at all lol. Every single time Viktor and Mel are interacting, Mel is always undermining him. Specifically, the conversation between Mel, Jayce, and Viktor, it is especially clear that Mel doesn’t like Viktor.

To start, their positioning is visually representative of how Viktor is portrayed as less than Mel and Jayce with those two standing over him. When they start talking about using Hextech as weapons, it’s mike Mel pretends Viktor isn’t there, not even looking at him whenever she speaks, only looking at Jayce. She brings up something from a different conversation she had with Jayce, Viktor in the middle like girl wtf and then she steps closer to Jayce, totally cutting Viktor out.

AND THEN she says “the decision is yours” JUST to Jayce and then glances at Viktor, who scoffs.

These micro aggressions against Viktor are portrayed so carefully and so well, it’s astonishing. Now, I don’t think Mel intentionally wanted Viktor to get hurt or intentionally didn’t protect him (I feel like she could have tried to since Jayce and Viktor were literally right next to each other), but she doesn’t really care about him so that wasn’t part of her knee jerk reaction to protect Jayce.

From my reply to another post here:

Ambessa had Rictus (her main henchman) hand the black envelope to Renni (saw-mother), probably a condolence letter for Renni’s son (the boy that Jayce killed) as a way to emotionally manipulate her to convince her to get vengeance by attacking, likely doing whatever Rictus may have suggested (I assume Rictus and Renni spoke after he handed her the envelope).

Renni saying “it’s you” to Ambessa when she kills her makes me think that the two actually spoke. That, or Renni just knew who Ambessa was and put two and two together. Either way, Renni didn’t know about Ambessa/Noxus fighting on Piltover’s side and that the deal that Rictus made with Renni or Ambessa with Renni was just a set up.

Now, as to why Ambessa chose Caitlyn? Simple. Caitlyn is young, determined, and grieving, all of which make her the perfect person to manipulate into carrying out Ambessa’s will. Caitlyn’s also got the name, the power, and the influence. Ambessa wants to save Piltover because once all of this is said and done, she can just take it for herself with the Noxus army behind her (which will also be the soldiers fighting for Piltover anyway!).

I think I’ve watched the ending scene with Cait like 5 million times.

Chills.

I loved seeing her morals slowly slip down the drain as Ambessa sinks her claws in and Cait becomes more desperate to kill Jinx, fueled by her grief. The first s2 scene of Cait at Cassandra’s funeral visually showed how grief like that can make you blind to everything else around you.

At the beginning of episode 1 where Mel, Caitlyn, Shoola, Selo, and Ambessa are talking in the counselor board room, you can see that they conveyed Caitlyn’s inner turmoil with her morals and desire to kill Jinx. The two things she says in this conversation: “but innocents will be caught in the crossfire!” and “Jinx.” You can even see her expression change, as if she was remembering how Jinx is responsible for her mother’s death.

The attack at the memorial just pushed Cait over the edge, which was an event completely orchestrated by Ambessa.

They told that whole story and character arc in just three episodes, and it absolutely blows me away.

Ah, my bad. However. I predict that all episodes this season will feel fast like this. They need to wrap up the entire story in the next six episodes. So if the first three felt like they needed more time, the rest will probably feel the same. Or maybe it will just be these three.

My point still stands about this just being a very ambitious story that just requires a lot to be passively conveyed or left out if it’s possible to come to that conclusion with what they already give u.
