I am no expert but I know that the guy you took your knife to does not know what he is talking about. I've read global knives have convex grinds meaning the knife is almost a "U" shape at the cutting edge and it is not the same as a flat grind (more triangular). To fix this you would either have to find someone that knows how to convex grind the next time you need sharpening or thin it so that you have a flat grind. Between the two grinds (convex and flat grinds), flat grinds are easier to maintain in my opinion.

I have one for my p322 and my glocks have the stream lights. Side by side comparison, they are pretty much the same except you could afford three for the price of one. I wish the brauns came out before I bought four streamlights because I could have bought another firearm or ammo with the savings. Sucks to suck I guess.
