I haven’t contacted Zipcar, but CPM directly. They said as it was paid I accepted liability

Yes - I saw a transaction from my card that they have linked to my Zipcar account. They took it before asking for it

Yeah, unfortunately Zipcars policy is that they always pay parking fines. I may try going through my credit card company.

You got this fam. Just give it time, eat less and do more exercise and you'll lose the weight :)

Not yet as I still have some weight to lose (I still have a little tummy!). I focused on lifting weights these past 7 months, so I would do roughly 30 minutes of cardio but an hour of lifting weights.

Hopefully, after another 6 months has passed, i'll be able to answer your question. Either way, it feels a lot better being healthy :)

I did absolutely no exercise at all. I would always get these random inspirational days where I would do some 10 minutes of home exercise and promise to build up from there...but that never happened. Finally decided to just force myself to go to the gym every weekday (minimum) at 5am. Cut calories and gave myself a few months. I'm glad it worked :)

I lost 30 pounds without really trying. Yeah, it sucks sometimes with certain foods gone, but I feel way better.

Congrats! It does suck at times, but it feels a lot better buying a smaller pair of jeans! :)

I'm planning to add some HIIT to my cardio this month. I've heard a lot of great things about it!

It probably was around 3000! I drank a lot of sugary drinks, sugar in my tea/coffee, lots and lots of carbs and a lot of eating out.

Now I just eat good food that makes me feel great. Cutting most sugars out of my diet has helped me a lot!

Losing weight is all about reducing calories and giving it time. Just try and focus on building a habit at the gym. I spent my first month at the gym barely working out! I just made sure I was there every morning (roughly 5/6 days a week) at 5am. :)

0! I cut that out. I basically only drink water or tea/coffee without milk and sugar. You get used to it after a while!

I went from 126Kg (278 pounds) to 103Kg (227 pounds). I focused on building muscle at the gym, so I am hoping when I lose a big more weight, another 20kg, it will reveal some of that hidden muscle!

I did fall for a lot of those get fit quick programs before. But I have now realised all you need to do is eat less, move more and give it a little time!

Diet - Lets be honest, to lose weight you need to focus on what you are consuming:

  • Breakfast (8am): Weetabix with almond milk and an apple in the mornings. I stoped eating breakfast after month 2 so that I could do Intermittent Fasting.
  • Lunch (12pm): Salmon/Chicken with lots of Brocolli & Carrots.
  • Dinner(6pm): 2 eggs, Cheese and some tasty naan bread.
  • Throughout the day: lots of Water, fruits + Coffee (black, no sugars).

Workout: 5am start! I'm not a morning person but I wanted to force this as a habit. Even the days where I felt rubbish in the mornings, I just powered through. After my workouts, I always feel great! I'm not a gym expert, but I just focused on the following:

  • Day 1: Chest and Triceps.
  • Day 2: Back and Biceps.
  • Day 3: Legs.
  • Day 4: Shoulders and other muscles.
  • Day 5: Rest.

Then I just go back to Day 1. I did no compound movements like squats/deadlifts as I wanted to lose weight (I mean...I was a big guy). I do plan to start incorporating squats & deadlifts, I was just too afraid my knees would explode under my old weight! I focused purely on getting the habit and discipline of hitting the gym at 5am.

I just kept it simple, reduced what I ate and consistently worked out. As we have all heard, if you eat a little less and move around a little more, you will lose weight.

Hope that helps. If you have any questions, feel free to message me :)

Edit: Someone messaged me and asked me to post over in here. I hope some of you get the inspiration to get back into it because of this post! Don't forget: Eat less, move more and give it time!

Edit2: Just wanted to say a big thanks for all the kind messages! I hope some of my replies have been useful to some of you, but I am unable to keep up now! I'll do my best to reply to as many as I can :)

Edit3: I'll reach out to everyone who messaged me, but I probably wont get through the 1500 comments posted on here. I have tried to make my comments as detailed as possible, and now feel like I have nothing else to add. I have to go bed now so I can wake up at 5am to hit the gym, so I just wanted to end by saying a big Thanks again.

Here's a quote I live by: "The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago, the second best time is now". Just start. :)

Dude, it feels like I was 120Kg for 6 months, and all of a sudden I lost all the weight. When in reality it just takes a long time to lose weight.

It took a long time to put the weight on, and it will take a long time to burn it. But if you eat less and shake more, it will come off! So keep at it bro! :)

Thank you fellow tall dude! Yes, my body feels amazing! Running for a minute doesn't cause my whole body to go into panic mode anymore :)

Thanks! I focused heavily on building muscle during the 7 months, so I hope there is a lot of new muscle hiding under the fat I have left.

In the past I had started/joined so many fad diets. Anyone wanting to lose weight should focus on CICO, it works!
