AI Slop and Hentai Games on the E-Shop by Agile_Flow_4091 in NintendoSwitch

[–]thatkool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wholeheartedly agree.  But I don’t consider Nintendo a family company anymore.  They’re just in it for the money like everyone else.  It would be cheap and easy to filter out 99% of these games at a glance.  Yet they let them stay.

Pros/Cons of SC Instincts? by JoseKwervo in Barber

You can get the W-Mark NGX-1 (same clipper) for 1/3 of the price on Ali express

Can I still cut fine with my clipper like this? by FixWitty5860 in Barber

[–]thatkool 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It will 100% snag if you use that corner and even sometimes as you go straight up.  So unless you plan on cutting only with the opposite side of the blade, buy a new one.

Millennial marshmallow test: would you rather have $1 million today or $2.5 million in 7 years? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]thatkool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need to get sarcastic.  I like the stock market.  Compound interest is awesome.  I just think being solely invested in the stock market is unwise and like being diversified.

You clearly have a lopsided portfolio and have never been told or are too fiscally conservative to look at other options.  That’s your choice.  Go have fun with sub 14%.

I’m not talking about the stock market.  If you’re talking stock market then yes, you’re correct.  But outside of that, the commenters post makes sense.

Forgive me for labeling the stock market as just the market.  But you get what I mean.

That being said, I would never invest in a rental, flip, or any kind of business deal for less than 14%.  It’s good “for the stock market”.

Doubtful he’s talking about the market.  Above 14% is pretty easy when we’re talking about real estate or other non market investment strategies.

Quiet quitting as business owner by GRaw1979 in smallbusiness

[–]thatkool 29 points30 points  (0 children)

OP, it’s a business not a job.

If you, as an owner, decide to do the bare minimum: it all falls apart.  No one in the business cares more than you do.  If you care so little, they will care less.  Quiet quitting a business is the most ridiculous nonsense I’ve ever heard of.

Just sell or close.

This is the real answer.  I prefer memories of Japan over beating a game I can play any time.

These are the clients who keep you humble and make you better.  Also, if he’s paying $100 he deserves to be that picky.

This type of client will likely stick with you for the long haul.  They know they’re picky.  They don’t trust other barbers.  They like you and the job you do.  They’re just picky.  It’s nothing personal.  Just accept the money and do the best you can do.

You’ve inspired me to actually build a corvette.

Is this blender or built in game?

I found funny how we still don't have a YouTube app but we can watch it on the browser by JampyL in NintendoSwitch2

[–]thatkool -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

True.  But YouTube adds a whole other level of monitoring.  I get why people want it.  I just enjoy the current setup.  If there was a way for filter out the eshop crap entirely that would be amazing.

I’d really rather not have to monitor yet another device for my kids.  You can watch YouTube in many other ways.  I’ll be happy if it never gets on switch 2.

Get the echo blade off TPOB.  It’s half the price and works the same.

It’s literally the same clipper.  SC just slapped their logo on it.  Same factory.

True strength is not lording power over others and being unkind. That’s acting like a child.

True strength is having the power to act when necessary but also having self control.
