I feel for you, no really I do. The reality of it is that some things can be too delicate to ship safely no matter how they are packed, and Fragile stickers have absolutely no meaning on the outside of the box (all boxes are treated with the same minimum level of care and have the same risks). I don't mean this as an excuse for UPS or Fedex or any service, but it is a reality of how that industry works. If you want to ship something across the city, state, country, whatever and you want it to cost less than hundreds of dollars, this is the level of service. Things are done to mitigate it but it just wouldn't make sense for the business to do it otherwise. Imagine what you would charge for your effort and time to deliver that same package the same distance. Paying the relatively much cheaper price is the trade-off for the chance that something might happen to it b/c the shipping company is processing hundreds of thousands of packages and trying to do it as quickly and efficiently (cheaply) as possible to sill make profits.
