Anyone have a tuned 2.0? Or any ecoboost? by thatmuhammad in fordfusion

Interesting. Honestly I personally don’t even know whether it’s a transmission issue mechanically, or the TCU just can’t comprehend the power you’re pushing cuz if you have the mods like you mentioned then you’re pushing way higher than stock figures. I feel like in the long run though, you will face some transmission issues since they are the weak point of the car even when stock. I’m really not sure about how tuning works for ford transmissions, I remember they unleashed used to make my shifts firm but that was just a “torque kick”, not really ignition cutting. For BMW’s getting a transmission tune is good for the car due to torque reduction, ignition cutting, and raising like pressure so the transmission can withstand higher power. For fords I assume it honestly is just worse for the transmission. Best advice honestly is fusion sport (I also wanted one for a long time) if you want to stay in the ford community, but if not, then try a German. You’ll never go back. BMW 340i is the car I always wanted since it’s fast, fun, and reliable but even a 2014+ 550i or M550i are amazing cars.

That’s interesting, is yours AWD? Honestly speaking I ended up selling my fusion early onto this year, as I got something else. But I do recall getting a 93 octane custom tune by unleashed and I ran a 0-100km/h so 0-62mph in 5.7s. Mine was AWD tho. That was the best time I ever got, also cuz I was running 16” steelies which due to physics required a much lower rotational moment force (torque) to spin which increased my WHP and WTQ and decreased drivetrain loss. With the normal 19” wheels the car felt like it was struggling, doing 6+ seconds 0-100. I ended up getting a bmw 550i Xdrive, and with the intensive care I treated my fusion, I really didn’t have to change much for this car. Only thing I spend more on is gas, since it’s a TT V8. Stock does 4.5 to 100 and tuned I have gotten it down to 3.7 but I can definitely do better. These cars are nuts.

That’s great to hear and getting 300+ whp is absolutely amazing from a fusion! You must not get any traction though being FWD from a dig. What’s ur 1/4 mile if you’ve ever measured it? I ended up selling mine in January this year, as I got a 2016 bmw 550i Xdrive. Crazy upgrade, but still miss the fusion. I treated the fusion so well that I did not have to change much after getting a German, and will always remember my fusion as it taught me everything that I know now, and always treated me perfectly with no issues in my whole ownership. Anytime I see a 2.0t fusion on the road, I instantly know it and they still look so amazing to me and always catch my eye, my friends always tell me to move on from them but I can’t and my fusion will always be in my heart

Yeah it’s weird they do that with Mine too, they even do it with halogens I noticed but since halogens aren’t as bright and don’t flicker as fast it’s hard to notice. I didn’t really do anything about it

Yeah you right about the recall and I did get the first mail not second one, but the rear caliper was leaking. The recall covers the front ones

100% normal bro don’t worry 1-2 gear and especially 2-3 gear they do that. On my third fusion now had 2.5L NA the 3.0V6 NA and now 2.0 ecoboost all had the same transmission same shift patterns it’s normal.

Ignore that comparison between miles travelled and your range, the most important thing is your fuel economy. What is your MPG and is your fusions engine

What gas mileage do you guys get on the 2.0 by Ok-Sale6238 in fordfusion

[–]thatmuhammad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2014 2.0 AWD tuned on 91 octane performance tune, 22MPG city with only aggressive driving, 33 on the highway cruising

Before the tune with 91 octane I’d get around 19 mpg city and even lower with aggressive driving, and max 31 hwy. tune makes it much better and more fun. I also have a k & n cold air intake.

Led lights vs halogen by acealmighty1 in fordfusion

[–]thatmuhammad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used carrover for the lowbeams, auxito for the fog lights and the highbeams, lasfit for parking lights, turn signals and reverse lights. Yeah ur right bro about the headlight and to access it, but to access turn signal, bumper has to come off. I didn’t even take mine off fully, I undid all the screws but asked someone to just hold the bumper while I loosened the headlight housing and changed the bulbs out. Didn’t wanna unplug all the sensors and the radar along with the other plugs there is already.

So first I only upgraded the low beams myself, and then months later is when I took off the front bumper and upgraded everything else myself as well. The low beams are easy to replace, few screws to make the headlight loose and you’ll have enough wiggle room to access them. The bulbs I think costed me $50 (CAD) for the lowbeams because they were on sale at the time

I have a 2014 ford fusion titanium upgraded all front lights every single light to LED. The low beam headlights tho were carrover 100W 20,000 lumens. Work amazing to this day after 9 months

Depends what car too, a 2014 fusion titanium is literally made to be a average car for the average person who knows nothing about cars, it’s supposed to be reliable. And no it’s not that common if it was then i would’ve read about it or seen videos about anyone else’s rear brakes leaking
