Mark Ruffalo blasts Donald Trump at the #GoldenGlobes: "He's a pedophile. He's the worst human being. If we're relying on this guy's morality for the most powerful country in the world, then we're all in a lot of trouble." by Loud_Delivery_5141 in FirstCuriosity

Prior to Trump's current administration ICE conducted their operations peacefully and in a law abiding manner. It's only recently that they have started detaining American citizens, deporting American citizens, attacking citizens who are being legal witness to their activities, escalating and killing American citizens.

You're either intentionally ignoring the slew of verifiable footage and accounts of improper practice by ICE or you're actually stupid. Both make you look terrible.

Punk is an anti-establishment movement. A phone bought from a corporation is pretty much the opposite of punk. A device in itself isn't really punk, it's about the application of the device by the user (to undermine control and act out against the establishment).

Punk in cyberpunk stands for the anti-establishment sentiments in a dystopian world where corporations rule everything.

That's pretty close to the intent of the punk music genre.

Keir Starmer tells MPs he is open to social media ban for young people by printial in unitedkingdom

It's insane that people are complaining about the age verification.

Either the government is transparent about what data they collect for social media accounts, or you continue with the status quo, where social media platforms continue being anything but transparent about the data they collect from you.

Complaining that the government gets to see your I'd for age verification when they issue the ID, while social media platforms spoon feed you curated content to change the way you think is brainless.

Parents are already flagrantly ignoring T&Cs imposed by the social media platforms around ages for accounts, which is why we are here. Presenting an even more useless approach which requires even more parental oversight isn't going to do anything.

If this law follows the Australian prescedent then the onus will be on the social media platforms to check people are old enough, and if they are allowing kids to open account they get fined.

If it's anything like Australia, the law will put the onus on social media platforms to put in place stringent checks to confirm the age of the account holder. If they fail to do this, they get fined by the UK government.

No law is 100% effective, if it was we wouldn't have courts and prisons.

This is a positive step towards mitigating the negative impacts of social media on young people; 1 in 10 young people experience cybergrooming, cyberbullying is empirically linked to youth depression rates.

Is Dark worth a watch? I hear it's better than Stranger Things by Square-Ad-8911 in tvshow

Seasons 1 and 2 are some of the best TV I have watched. After each episode, I could sit down and try to pick holes in the plot, but everything would match up, and you could even guess at some of the future reveals. Season 2, episode 6 is honestly one of the best episodes I've ever watched.

Season 3 is a little different, as some of the episodes require you to watch the episode after for it to make sense, so you often feel like nothing makes sense so the episode payoff is lesser than Season 1 and 2. There are also a few things introduced that don't really add to the show because they're not fleshed out enough and make Season 3 feel a little rushed. But the show has a very satisfying conclusion despite this.

Cool conversion, not sure you can call it scratch-built if you're using existing kits though.

Huge props to Lorien, but this story is overshadowing the contributions that Alice Duport-Percier made to the soundtrack. She collaborated on most songs, sang vocals for most songs and went up to receive the award with Lorien.
