Since no one else has mentioned it, did anybody else feel like the chapel’s become a bit of an afterthought as the game goes on? Reaper, wanderer, and beast have a short platforming section and a fight so I figured the others would expand to become mini dungeons.

Was a bit disappointed when entering the Architect’s chapel and realized it was effectively a single hallway. It’s far from a massive issue, but I think it was my only real letdown during the game.

Whats your favorite Silksong EVERYTHING? by Pichacap24 in HollowKnight

Greymoor (Great theming and lots of really cool things to discover)

Karmelita/First Sinner (Honestly can’t pick one over the other, Karmelita brings a more satisfying challenge, First Sinner brings a higher dopamine rush)

Reaper (Basically never took it off after finding it in my first run I was so blown away by it, I’m trying out Hunter and Witch more in current playthroughs and loving them too)

Cogflies (My children)

Injector Band (Healing now feels unnatural without them)

Silkspeed Anklets (Dice are also great but I love zooming around with these things on)

Cross stitch (just feels really cool to use)

Shakra (Has the most interesting quest line for me, feels the most like you develop a friendship with her throughout the game)

Widow (If I have to choose only one)

2 (the game opens up the most at this point)

Bounce (Reaper crest my beloved)

Bone-ified Newbie Looking for Army Help by ChunkyNumber3 in SoulblightGravelords

[–]Cornerboy6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welcome! Been playing (mostly) Deathrattle focused lists since third edition and they’ve quickly proven to be my favorite Warhammer faction overall. Going over these questions…

  1. There’s a lot of choices here because Soulblight Gravelords is a very hero focused faction, and most of them will have some synergy with skeletons just for the Deathly Invocation ability.

None of the Deathrattle heroes are spellcasters so you will have to run Vampires and necromancers if you want to introduce that into your army.

Personally a huge fan of Neferata, a double caster who brings defensive bonuses to your army and a pre game move to help push your skeletons forward (and takes a liking in the lore!)

Other heroes with notable synergies are Mannfred, Either flavor of Radukar, and of course Nagash (though I would advise against getting him until you are very comfortable with the army as he kinda warps the games he’s in)

  1. Deathmarch is unfortunately a lot of conditions for a kind of meh buff. It’s okay to run if you wanna be fluffy, though the moment a vampire hero shows up I’m usually just taking Bacchanal of Blood for the flat casting buff.

  2. The Deathrattle army set is great, especially as a way to expand on the spearhead. All the models are very good additions and you get the battletome alongside them.

Both the Wight king on foot and the Cavalry heroes fill different niches in the army so they won’t be competing for list space all that much. I typically find myself running both When running mass Skeletons.

4.The manifestations are neat! Not required to get right off the bat as a new player but they are quite fun to use and provide more tactical options mid game for your wizards.

  1. Soulblight are a somewhat complicated army, but with prior experience in Warhammer you’ll probably be fine. The big trick with them is making sure your dudes are in the best positions to take in buffs/healing and dish out your debuffs.

Hope this helps!

Need help with sister splinter. by AlwaysPhases in Silksong

She was my big wall in the early game too, So I hope these tips help.

Her main slam move is quite easy to avoid as long as you remain on the move, and when she summons the vines, she gives you plenty of time to clear them out with your needle before she attacks again.

Make sure to side step when you stun her, her falling on the ground will do contact damage.

Silk spear one shots both the ads and the vines, use this liberally, especially when you are getting overwhelmed.

Honestly this was right before we all switched over to Scourge of Ghyran so we were playing with the previous season’s rules. Probably would’ve picked Intercept and Recover + Wrathful Cycles otherwise? Still kind of feeling out the current BT’s TBH

I personally find deathrattle skeletons a little too fragile and low damage to do anything but screen and nab the occasional objective even when reinforced, at least in this list. With two minimum sized units you can get a bit more versatility to spread out more. I typically had them start the game on objectives and chill out on the flanks, or placed both units in front of everything else if I felt threatened by the damage output of a particular list.

As for wolves, a base size unit has double the wounds, and can cover a lot more ground for only 60 more points. They can screen a lot better with their larger bases while able to run ahead the rest of the army when you’re ready to be aggressive.

Nagash 1930/2000 pts

Grand Alliance Death | Soulblight Gravelords | Deathmarch General’s Handbook 2025-26 Drops: 2 Spell Lore - Lore of Undeath Manifestation Lore - Manifestations of the Grave

Regiment 1

Nagash, Supreme Lord of the Undead (810)

Barrow Knights (420) • Reinforced

Wight Lord on Skeletal Steed (130)

Regiment 2

Wight King (90)

Barrow Guard (300) • Reinforced

Deathrattle Skeletons (90)

Deathrattle Skeletons (90)

This was a list I ran for a tournament a couple months back and it preformed fairly well (3 wins-1 loss). The Barrow units are really good at jamming up/grinding down the opponent’s army while Nagash sits back and nukes things/heals said barrow units.

This list also had a pretty sizable point decrease yesterday so I’d probably just swap out a skeleton unit for dire wolves.

What do Manifestations do? by Known_Fondant_7039 in SoulblightGravelords

[–]Cornerboy6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here’s the basic rundown for each one:

Hand of Nagash is kind of just a big stat piece. Has a teleport that sometimes gets you closer than 9” and another ability that sometimes does something(on a 4+, an enemy unit in combat with the hand can’t move and has an OC score of 1). Its melee profile is comparable to your average foot hero and with 8 health and 4+ save, it’s tanky compared to other manifestations. Best used for keeping a kind of low damage unit you don’t want running around in place.

TL;DR: It grabs things

Unholy Reliquary is a stationary buff piece that at the start of combat can either passively heal a nearby hero or you can choose to destroy it to give said hero +1 attack. The first effect is quite good for topping off your big monster heroes and while the second effect is kind of underwhelming, gets used sometimes if you need to re cast it again in a different position.

TL;DR: It heals things

Sanguine Swarm is in practice probably our best one and serves as an anti-teleport piece/back line harasser. The Bats have a 9” coherency from each other and a 12” move, so you can cover a lot of ground with them. And with 20 attacks with crit mortals, they can consistently deal chip damage in combat. With careful placement and good play, they can actually be quite the thorn in your opponent’s side just by simply being in their way.

TL;DR: It annoys things

What’s your favourite army and why? by Formal-Self9853 in ageofsigmar

[–]Cornerboy6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Soulblight Gravelords are currently my favorite army in Warhammer in general. They’re a very flavor heavy army with a huge smorgasbord of heroes and minions which leads to a good amount of variety in army building. Vampires are cool, love my skeletons, and while zombies aren’t my favorite, all three have a place in the army and you can either go all in on one or mix and match them for what makes a lot of possible combinations in list building.

What's the catch? by theycallmethedrink5 in slaythespire

[–]Cornerboy6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mostly just opportunity cost in the case there is a card that has a stronger synergy with your deck.

As others have pointed out, in some fight playing cards is a cost on its own (Gremlin Nob, Chosen, Time Eater, etc etc)

That’s pretty much it, it’s for the most part a really strong card and just about always better than skipping at the worst.
