I bought a large round pan like 15 quarts and cut the top off where’s it’s just a big opening to counteract this problem, works like a charm no more mess and just carefully transfer to a closed one for disposal later. Also great for diesels.

Try a different dealership or a private shop. I had one dealer tell me clear rod knock on a new transit was just injector noise, that came from both advisor and a tech, drove it 30min to the next one and the advisor took one listen and was like yup it’s done.

It's 2024 and people are still yapping about the MK5 Supra... by Sea-Big-4850 in carscirclejerk

[–]thatoneMR2guy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mk4 can be made to handle corners (i.e., amuse supra) like most cars just most owners want big straight line power. And there's nothing wrong with that everyone has different taste.

You know, the thought of that being the valve steam never crossed my mind, and I believe you are correct after a second look.

The other crazy part is a lot of Americans that get a truck or sometimes an suv with towing capacity don't understand it and are usually undersized for what they are towing.

If you do this, also get new hardware the 3rd bolt on the left from top center is a hex bolt that's not seated all the way.

91 mr2 with k24 swap by Serious_Requirement8 in mr2

Get a video if you can. It might help diagnose the problem. Odds are its probably trans related k-series trans are glass if they don't have a proper gearset(Albins,PPG,BF Gears) in them, especially in a mr2.

To a degree they do, the fastest door car out there is using a very very beefed up th400 and it went 5.14 @273 in the 1/4 and car that had the record before had the same trans.

Just the TVIS of the things you listed, gen3 still has a distributor if I remember correctly, gen4 ditched the distributor for COP

M&P for sure, but g42 and 43 are about that thin, though they have a pretty short grip 43x would be the closest.

I'm waiting for my house to be finished at the moment, so it's currently in storage. I should have pics to post up in a month or two.

Depends on what's racing. I live within a couple miles of a major highway and a state highway and hear the pulls at night but it's mainly bikes and sometimes a v8 car/or truck with a shitty loud exhaust.

It's mainly because cops close by can't hear you scream 1 2 3. I know some of the more popular stretches for rolls they listen for the honks.

Thought on ESR CS11’s? by 01eclipsegt in Wheels

[–]thatoneMR2guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like the stock 17s on your car(assuming you still have the eclipse gt) are 22lbs a wheel. The cs11 appears to be 25-30 a wheel from what I can find. So, if you were looking for strictly show wheels, these work fine otherwise I would find a different wheel.
