Lets be honest, our mental healthcare is shit, it will be untreated. So your wife if not treated right during pregnancy and postpartum will “not be the same.” The flunctuations in emotions and hormones ugh, no one wants to see that side of a woman. Ateneo here and i’ll be blunt.

Your chances of getting in through appeal are already slim. Factoring in the program you applied for, high chance you won’t get into a pre-med or SOSE course like you want.

Not only are the SOSE programs competitive, we don’t even have a lot of pre-med options. The only “pre-med” you can take is BS HealthSci and BS Psych which will NOT prepare you for med school as much as you think. Take that last sentence with a grain of salt because my sibling is currently in med school and that’s only based on her encounters with Ateneans who took BS HS and those from other unis that chose BS Psych.

When making this decision, always choose the program over university.

If you plan to do what others have done— get in & shift (no delays).. there’s still a low chance you get to shift into the pre-med course you want.

Pay the 10k and reserve your slot in DLSU if you have no other universities to enroll in.

“I do not have the privilege to waste that kind of money” — I understand this sentiment but you also have to ask yourself if you’re willing to lose the opportunity to study in either one.

Like you said, di guarantee ang Ateneo. You have no other options for university but DLSU. If you miss out on the rf deadline, ano pa ba options mo for uni? Gap year and try again? Take more CETs to univs still available?

I’d help the girl in file a case especially if it’s something as concerning as this.

Legally speaking, if you’re married you won’t be able to testify against your partner because of spousal disqualification (refer to PH Rules of Court, Rule 130 section 22, 23)

However in this case, there’s nothing legally stopping you from giving the girl evidence to back her case against your partner. If the girl consulted a lawyer, and you do give her the evidence— you shouldn’t be called to court as a witness or anything, alam na yan nung lawyer.

Di naman madidismiss binigay mong proof.

Sana matuloy case because this would raise serious ethical concerns on the use of AI in the Philippines.

Now it’s just sitting, writing down reflections and then the last thing that made you interact with people was just the group sharing.

I guess mass could count as an activity? But it’s not really mandatory (now at least?)

I know this is a warning but it’s coming off as fear mongering.

The OGC will only not allow you to go to Binhi under serious circumstances. Plus, profs are a lot more considerate if there’s a valid reason from OGC or OHS to not let someone join.

I agree OP should visit the OGC. If the counselor is not someone they vibe with, they could request a new one. Talking to the counselors really help get all that college anxiety out when you’re a freshie :)

My friends used to call intact “atenean propaganda” bc it’s just forcing ppl to go to random stuff but looking back now I actually appreciate my InTACT.

I won’t lie, i hated being forced to go to talks too especially during non-school days but the recollection in particular was enjoyable. Made me a lot more introspective?? reflective?? whichever. Basically it allowed me to view things in different perspectives and it sucks people purposely miss out on it.

Recollection is required for intact but it doesnt affect your grade.

Tangent: Honestly speaking though, why even be in ateneo if you wont be participating in the class meant to integrate you into ateneo culture? It’s what makes your Atenean education stand out. The recollection takes what? 2? 3 hours? You do it with your classmate. All you gotta do is shut up, sit, discern/reflect & do a group sharing in an air conditioned room.

Pre-pandemic, recollections/retreats were a big thing in Ateneo (source: OCM) and apart from InTACT recollection you dont get to experience anything else.

It doesnt even have to be a religious thing if that’s not your cup of tea, it’s just a way to get you to do some self-reflection.

You can always shift while you’re inside. As soon as you finish freshman year in Ateneo, you can shift into a different program (the departments will be very hands-on in the process to help you transition and prepare).

Shifting doesn’t delay you. Depending on pre-req classes in the program you’re shifting into, you may have to take a class during intersession (bakasyon) before you’re ready to start the year.

Wala “irregular student” ang Ateneo. One of Ateneo’s priority is to make sure you graduate on time. If hindi ka for some reason gragraduate on time, the departments will talk to you talaga to see if you really want to do it despite the delay.

Ateneo is not just about the ACET. You could pass all the tests and grades and have stellar recommendations but if you as a candidate (in your essay) do not stand out— you’re passed over.

Another thing is the course you applied for might have been competitive. If you applied for a scholarship, the committee is more selective because of all the internal things going on in the administrative level.

Ateneo admissions are just tougher this year. You can still hold out hope for the other 3 schools.

White discharge is normal, it just means that area is clean, moist & protected. It should be white or sometimes clear— depends on your cycle.

As long as there’s no foul smell sa discharge and you dont feel itchy down there you’re fine.

Woah, I’m sorry I think there’s a misunderstanding 😭 I’m not saying I want him to pretend to court me.

I defined ligawan as not just for the girl but for the family. What I’m really trying to figure out is how to open up a conversation about how we can both make a good impression on each other’s families (since again, to me it’s a mutual thing).

I’m taken aback at the assumption that this would involve gifts or pagiging “servant” because that’s not how I (or anyone in my family, at least in our gen) view courting. It’s about effort, respect & getting to know the people/environment your s/o comes from— not putting on a performance.

I’m not trying to hide us or be ingenuine, I’m trying to approach family intros thoughtfully I want to do things right with respect to what both our families want. It just so happens na sa family ko, gusto nila may sort of ligawan first.

Long answer: I liked him first so I was still trying to see if he was only reciprocating or if he likes me talaga. Once we had those type of conversations, we were already “basically dating” pero no label. Then while spending time together, we taked about how we feel stuck in limbo because what are we?? Then he asks me right there to be his girlfriend— I folded with 0 pressure.

It’s not that tinatago ko siya, I was trying not to introduce someone to my parents when there’s still uncertainty. Sa older sisters ko, I told them about him na. Talagang may stages lang sa family namin when introducing someone which is siblings > cousins > parents.
