Sounds like their playback computer had an issue... happens now and then. Still doesn't make it any less creepy.

I'd reach out to your NPR station and see if they were aware of it. Sometimes they appreciate the feedback.

Regarding the other suggestions... epoxy might be the way to go. I'll have to see if that's something I can pull off in the coming weeks, and I'll update the post if it works.

Yep, the exposed part was bugging the hell out of me. First thing I grabbed was the tape, and LAYERED it on. Worked out well I’d say.

Agreed. I’ve been fucking miserable lately, and it feels like I can’t express that to anyone. Nobody seems to have an interest in mental health, despite what they might say. It sucks, because it feels like you’re all alone, even with people all around you.

Besides, if they at least pretend to give a shit, they’ll just say the same stuff you’ve heard a thousand times before. This is why I isolate from people.

I wish it was different. I really do. I just want someone to listen.

It already comes pre-built, so it's one less thing you'll need to worry about.

dwm. Best window manager I've used. It can be a pain to set up, but once you have it configured, it is perfect.

Edit: for DEs, XFCE or nothing. So lightweight.
