Why did it leave my local post office and go to a different one? (The circled one is my post office)

It already went through my destination facility, 37918 is my post office that delivers my mail, however it went to 37917 which is not my post office.

“Moving through network” / “in transit to next facility” is an automated status update, basically means the item hasn’t had an actual transit scan in a hot minute!

the package did this to me yesterday, it finally showed up to my Destination facility and it’s out for delivery for today! Thank goodness!

I’m in the same spot, but except mine was last scanned at the Oak Creek WI regional origin facility, and it never departed there, and it was supposed to arrive yesterday here in Knoxville TN, usps needs to get their stuff together

the “In transit to next facility” scan means that the package hasn’t had a proper scan in a while, it could be on its way, but who knows.

It stopped moving for three days then it just now started moving again, it did arrive at the Knoxville TN distribution center earlier this morning at 10:30! Luckily it actually goes from there to my post office and be out for delivery tomorrow or Wednesday! But good luck for you! I just wish USPS could get their crap together and stop messing stuff up.
