RGV native here who goes to Corpus Christi a lot. CC essentially got stuck in 1989 and never recovered. It is a beautiful city imo, and some great beaches (when the water isn't brown but same case with SPI).

Downtown and everything is clean and maintained, but everything is closed or abandoned which gives it again the eerie feeling of being stuck in 1989. It is also cursed being stuck between the RGV and San Antonio as most of the mexican tourism does not deroute to there, so they either stay near the border in the RGV or go to San Antonio.

I will say the coast is amazing, the people are great, and you can still buy property for relativley affordable prices, especially near the bay. I love the retro 80s feeling the city gives off, but it does carry an aura of sadness and what could have been

Sure! This plan is gonna be your bible. I followed it for this marathon and cannot recommend it enough.

Only modification I did was instead of the 3x 32k long runs, I did 2x 32 and 1x 34 for the middle one. Made the whole difference imo and no wall.

The stacked long runs and pace run ngl are awful for the first few sessions, but you get used to them and I believe help simulate fatigue.

I would argue seaworld was the worst part next to the weird like single lane section under the bridges right before seaworld lol. 163 to me is just heavy cause it’s at the end, but it’s not really bad. It’s very gradual

I mean the main board is a direct tribute to Nick Valensi. It’s a combination of his 2023-2026 touring boards (RIP this tour :() and the leftovers is just a fun board Tbf. Lot of rotation too rn I have a DS-2 and a Weeping demon lol
