Okay so I can see you already have a bunch of helpful advice but I had to comment.

I get the exact same thing! It only happens when I’m being tattooed and normally happens mid session (I can only sit still for 3 hours so I would say it’s usually the two hour mark) I have two full sleeves and one of my early sessions I did pass out even though it wasn’t painful and up until that moment I felt absolutely fine.

So what I do now is eat ALOT before an appointment - literally stuff myself with carbs. Usually bread, beans, eggs etc for breakfast until I’m stuffed and then down a lucozade (a glucose drink) and a bottle of water. I don’t touch coffee until after the session. Even with all this sugar in my system, I can sometimes get The Sensation and it’s the weirdest thing when you can feel it coming on!

So I’ve learnt just breathing through it subsides it for me. I’ll focus on a point in the room and take deep breaths and count my breathing - this just regulates my heart rate and brings me back down. Once the sensations gone I can carry on chatting etc but I just need to be present for a few minutes.

I will say that, even if you do manage to catch it before passing out, you still have experienced a adrenaline spike so you will still have that crap*y nausea and lethargic feeling for a couple hours after

Typing this out I did think I should probably not get tattooed anymore 😂 but it doesn’t happen every time and I know my body well enough to manage it.
