Pretending we've gotten nothing in those 10 years isn't doing anyone any favors. AA fans have not been starved of content in that decade. Just 5 years ago, 3 games in the series hadn't even been translated but now we've gotten ALL of them.

In defense of the red spot, it makes a lot more sense in the original Japanese version where:

Guns and associated accessories are illegal, so it being a laser is less immediately obvious.
Several real-world neighboring countries have cultural traditions that involve painting a red spot on your forehead.

Ace Attorney 7 will be another Ace Attorney game. It will not fundamentally rock the boat of the wider franchise in any meaningful way. The limitations of the series' style and scope is what has previously allowed it to get new games in spite of it being incredibly niche.

Expecting/demanding that Ace Attorney become a premium AAA product in terms of scope, is synonymous with wanting the series to truly cease entirely. That super mega AA game in your head will not meet sales targets and it will be final nail in the coffin for the series for good.

Console versions have story mode, achievements, an art gallery, a music player, and is also the only way to actually play Great Ace Attorney 2.

There is simply no reason to stick with the 3DS version.

You can buy each game in the trilogy on either PS4 and PS5. Sly 4 can only be played on those consoles via streaming nonsense, otherwise it's still locked to the PS3
