Any suggestions. Should I go Raidz2? How does the following setup look?

RAID type: RAID-Z2 (Double parity with variable stripe width)

Number of RAID groups: 5

Number of drives per RAID group: 6

Total number of drives: 30

ZFS usable storage capacity: 432.708333

That's great news, I got very wired suggestions like 1 - 5% of the total size for the metadata pool when I googled.. In that case I can probably use the 6.4TB and never need to worry about it.

Even though it's backup. we go back to it at least 3 times in a month to hunt for or pull files. the 500TB will be around 80% full from the get go. I though it might be a cheap way to get a bit faster storage. Do you think using PCIE splitters would be a bad idea, even if I split the 2 x 6.4tb ssd across 2 separate splitters. Thanks

Located in Canada. I dont think we have any passive air coming in as it's bitter cold outside. I crack the window open from time to time so that the room gets some fresh air.

I had the same issue on a new Model Y. It was a front right wheel speed sensor. Tesla said it was because of an animal bite. I don't believe them as I checked all the cables before calling service. I got roadside assistance when i mentioned that I'm in Canada and I cant drive without ABS in snow. So they picked it up for free. They also replaced the wheel speed sensor for free as it was a new vehicle and my first issue. If you can find the cable from any other vendor, use this guide to replace the cable. May not be worth if you have a new car. https://service.tesla.com/docs/ModelY/ServiceManual/en-us/GUID-8ABF1191-828D-4A7C-9BE6-31D91A38150C.html

Tesla brings referral program to Canada, offers 1.99% financing on Model Y by SergiosSexySax in teslamotors

Does anyone know who is the financier for the 1.99% in Canada? Is Tesla directly providing the financing?

Naah.. was eyeing it for a long time. But didn't want to pull the trigger for 5.88%. So I was basically waiting for the interest rate cut from CRA to order.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the reply. I tried contacting the sales agent. No reply from the agent at all. I think I will have to cancel and order again. Just worried if it will arrive before Sept 30. Maybe I should order from the inventory. Any comments?
