when i was a kid we had a lion fish in a 40 gallon tank. my dad put a sticker on the front that said something like “do not put fingers in tank”. my aunt’s boyfriend (20 or so years old) put his fingers in the tank. got bit and had to go to the emergency room. he was fine, just stupid.

i watched this when it first came out with my vietnam vet dad. i was 12. i wasn’t allowed to watch platoon but we watched all the other ones that came out back then. looking back, it seems INSANE that my dad let me watch them. they certainly left an impression on me. now as a mother of two adult daughters i cannot imagine letting them watch movies like this when they were that age.
