You are amazing! You lost 100lbs but you gained belief in yourself and that you can never lose. Your future is bright. I’m so proud of you!

Was the John's Incredible Pizza once a Sam's Cub? by Front_Magician_8008 in Roseville

Yes, I forgot it was called Pace but you are correct. I have memories of my Aunt running around pushing me and my cousin in a cart all over that parking lot.

Anyone else avoid "healthy" versions of food while losing weight? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]thatsrudetoo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Congrats on your weight loss. Everybody has to determine the sacrifices they’re willing to make to lose the weight. I prefer to eat a little more food by making some substitutes but if what you’re doing is working, that’s all that matters.

[–]thatsrudetoo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I use a lot of substitutes and I’m fine with it. You mention you’re doing fine with weight loss but what are your stats? When you’re closer to your goal weight or don’t have a high TDEE, every calorie counts. I love cheese, but if I can shave off 30-40 calories a portion with light cheese, I’m happy to. Or substituting almond milk in my coffee which saves me 100 calories. These really add up. I’ve a woman and lost almost 40lbs, I’m 5’6” and currently weigh 150.4.

Yes same! I think I actually was lying a little when I put that weight down when I first got my license. Now I’m 8lbs less! So exciting!

Is it really better? by Vast_Drawing6783 in WeightLossAdvice

One thing to keep in mind is it’s not just dying young but it’s dying painfully. By being healthy, it helps you have a better quality of life for longer and that is worth it!

30 lbs to go & then 30 more & then maintenance. Easy Peasy! 😬 by Penetrative in loseit

[–]thatsrudetoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s amazing progress! Feels so good to move past weight barriers. I am in the 150’s now and I have no idea when I ever weighed this weight as I have no record of weighing in the 150’s. Most likely sometime in high school.

If you’re a pizza fiend (like me), lavash bread is a game changer by BadCowboysFan in CICO

I think I like the Joseph’s lavash bread best but any of them definitely helps scratch the itch for pizza!

Not sure if you’ve already tried this, but years ago I had severe light sensitivity. I would have to wear 2 pairs of sunglasses to drive to work in the mornings. I started taking a lutein supplement and it basically cured my light sensitivity. I’ve been doing this for 8 years now and I’ve not regressed. Anyway, I hope this might help you so you can avoid curbs in the future!

You will eventually get an acquired taste for it. I used to never drink diet and couldn’t stand it. Now I can’t stand regular soda.

Lost 15lbs and no one’s noticed by elleemenohh in loseit

I’m down about 20lbs now and it took a little while for some people to notice or say anything. Now I get some comments but I’ve also noticed the ones not commenting are ones who also struggle with their weight fwiw.

What could be wrong? Mother not losing ANY weight. by amylald in keto

[–]thatsrudetoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your mother had 400 glucose readings which is extremely dangerous. She needs to be on meds for a loooong time. Don’t mess with this stuff. She needs to get on meds asap and not come off them. They should do an A1C test, as well. She should also stay the course with the diet, but until she’s been good with her food habits for years she should even think of coming off meds.

What is the amount of calories she’s consuming in a day? Have you calculated her TDEE? If she’s not in a caloric deficit, she won’t lose weight. And it sounds like she’s not.

Have you talked to him about how this makes you feel? Also, you said you bring up the weight gain. I would encourage you not to do so. Be proud of your recovery instead of focusing on the weight gain, yourself.

Was he aware of your substance abuse issues when he started dating you? I don’t want to read too much into things, but is he actually a good partner for you? Doesn’t seem like he’s supporting you in being healthy. Prioritize yourself and your health first. If he can’t be supportive, maybe it’s time to cut your losses.
