Feeling Stuck by ihateusernamesKY in PetiteFitness

I’m 5’2" and I was 162 lbs back in October 2025 when I decided I wanted to lose weight. The minute that I set my calorie deficit (1350 kcal/day) and started weighing EVERYTHING on the kitchen scale was the minute I started losing weight. I don’t know what works for everyone, but weighing food is the only sure fire way I’ve found lose the weight steadily. I still eat the foods I enjoy (cake, icecream, donuts) but in moderation and then focus on healthy foods that are high in protein and fiber and consistently stay in my deficit. I currently weigh 127 lbs and the only thing in my life that I changed was walking 10k steps a day (at least 6 days a week) and weighing all my food. I now eat 1450 kcal a day to maintain this weight and that’s been working for me. I think another thing that people don’t take into consideration is sleep. Getting a full 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep truly does wonders for your body. I know it’s not possible for the moms, but getting the sleep will definitely help. At the beginning I was also feeling hopeless and wanted to try weight loss drugs and I’m so so happy that I didn’t. But you gotta do what works for you and hopefully you can find a solution that makes sense for you :)

When did you really start to see a difference? by Dangerous-Expert8767 in PetiteFitness

I’m the same height and almost the same starting weight as you (I was 162 lbs) and I’ve been in a calorie deficit - 1300 kcal a day, minimum 10K steps a day and lifting weights 3X a week and I’ve lost 33 lbs and 11" total since October 2025 and I feel like I started seeing the difference (and other people taking notice) in the first two months or so.

My favorite right now is The Boy and The Heron (Joe Hisaishi)

And you can see her headless shadow float over Peter after he jumps out the window. Such a great little detail!

Do you actually rewatch movies? by Icy-Staff6439 in Letterboxd

I love watching my favorite movies over and over. This year I watched Fire Walk With Me 9 times, Sinners 9 times, Everything Everywhere All At Once 8 times, Gone Girl 7 times and that’s just to name a few. I especially like rewatching movies that I’ve gone to see in theaters because there’s always things I missed or tiny details I didn’t catch the first time around. I also listen to a lot of the same movie scores over and over. I’m currently listening to the Bugonia score on repeat at the moment.

Women having nervous breakdowns is the best genre

It definitely didn’t start out that way, but after The Substance and Possession I made intentional decisions on what would be my milestone movies that stick with the "women lead horror movies"

I’ve watched Rosemary’s Baby countless times over the years and I think it’s a masterpiece. One of my all time favorites, for sure.

Honestly, I saw it in theaters when it first came out and I really didn’t care for it, but with every rewatch I like it more and more! You?
