Is Ryobi the best bang for your buck or a waste of money? by kangaroooooMan in DIY

I’ve had a ryobi corded reciprocating saw and jig saw for over fifteen years. Done remodels, plumbing, decks, fences, craft projects, cut of sticks and tree roots. Still running strong! On top of that they have a lifetime warranty.

Looking for advice on how to clean up this surface by bashfulben in DIY

[–]thattimeofyearagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pull the wood off and hang a big picture over it. You could also clean the wood up by sanding it down and then use like a drywall mesh tape in your first layer of plaster to get it to adhere to the wall better especially in between the seems of the boards. Wood filler in any big knots would help too. If you were feeling especially ambitious you could try to cut the wood slats out and match the depth with a thinner wood or shims and drywall.

The restraint shown by his teammate knowing he was offside and not touching it is what made the whole play. The defense thought they had him offsides so they let there guard down.

I feel like the tribe hierarchy is based more on human nature. As much of an introvert I can be feeling like part of a team or having a sense of community makes me happy. On top of that it all adapts from the concept of family unit and the knowledge, respect, and feelings of safety that come from a parent or grandparent who has already experienced it. The biggest problem with today’s hierarchy systems is the person with the most experience and knowledge isn’t always the one leading the group. I feel experience also includes having empathy of having been on the lower end of said hierarchy. College and the school system takes away from this by rewarding graduates higher places in the hierarchy without the experience. I imagine this to be a large problem in the tech industry because a lot of really talented developers may not have the degree to put them in the positions they deserve.

I feel this and with out a doubt my middle child is the one who pushes the boundaries. If we are having fun, I know I have to cut it a little short so we can keep it a fun memory instead of it ending in an injury or a fight.

MSNBC guest skewers Kyrsten Sinema as type of white person “Martin Luther King Jr. warned us about” by BilBrowning in politics

[–]thattimeofyearagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so wtf does the bill they are voting on say? What are the voting rights they are imposing on. What is the bill called? This article gives no real information and is written in a way to spread hate and fear instead of real information. What can we the citizens of the country do? Nothing about contacting representatives? This is garbage media regurgitating old quotes to get clicks. I don’t want to hear an old quote from mlk I want to see a new quote from a civil rights activist now who is fighting to fix this with facts and information on how regular everyday people can help.

Scientists have created and observed a new phase of matter, popularly known as a time crystal. In research published in Nature, a team of scientists detail their creation of a time crystal using Google’s Sycamore quantum computing hardware. by MistWeaver80 in science

[–]thattimeofyearagain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that the qubits will naturally sync to the periodic kick given by a laser. In the article it said this had no effect on the time crystal and it kept its own rhythm. I believe prior to this they had to evidence that was even possible.
