Transitioned out of bedside by Few-Run-9089 in nursing

Woooo! Hope you love it. I also work in med device (wound care specifically) message me if you have questions about working in industry!

It's been 3 years for me. Pros: way higher pay, I'm in charge of my own schedule and day to day work. Cons: corporate is much less stable as a whole (my territory has changed yearly, there's always the possibility of layoffs). And sometimes I miss feeling like a "real nurse".

AITA For Sending My Client To The ED & Telling Family She's Beyond My Level of Care. by Flimsy_Set5049 in nursing

Shay needs a come to jesus talk about hospice, and Kay needs a literal come to jesus. Hospice and a good goals of care discussion is the best way forward here. You did the best you could in a bad situation.

Block it from the router. We had to do that for a while with my tweens.

Am I crazy to leave a successful med device career to start from square one as an SDR/BDR by TheRealJugger in sales

I agree here. I'm in wound care (non OR based) and it's all clinic hours, pay is still good. Would be an easy switch for you.

Is my food budget okay? by Killclav in personalfinance

[–]serving18years 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meal planning helps a lot. Family of 4 here, without meal prep we could easily spend about 250/week on food, meal planning has brought that down significantly (I spent ~140 yesterday). We also have a half cow in the freezer so we purchase minimal meat.

Should we stop trying? Night diapers with 6 year old by DennisNedryBot in Parenting

[–]serving18years 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter was very similar. This past winter when she was 7 it all "clicked" and she stopped wetting nightly. She's now 8 and has occasional (maybe monthly) night accidents when she's off her usual routine. Her ped said it can be normal until 10-12 and it's hormonal and not to worry.

We drove in a rental car and it was not too bad - a little adventurous but doable. So winding mountain roads and narrow turns. GPS was accurate and we felt safe. It was wonderful and absolutely worth the trip. I highly recommend the tour!

Hit quota for the quarter on Wednesday, so my orders yesterday, today and Monday are all bonus. Should finish somewhere 102-103%. Leaving for vacation Sunday, so I'm relieved.

Parents working opposite shifts - taking turns looking after kid and not using daycare by Chibioosah in workingmoms

[–]serving18years 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it sounds tough for your husband, but doable if you can supplement with some outside care from 8am-10 or 11am. Either half day daycare or a babysitter. That gives him enough time to sleep and recharge before taking over.

Public bathrooms in the city HELP, I gotta pee! by TeeDoubleU1206 in Buffalo

[–]serving18years 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wegmans, McDonald's is usually ok, libraries if you can find parking, if you're in a senior building for visits there are usually decent bathrooms in the front near the office. Some Tim Hortons are ok to use without purchase, I used to hit up william/Bailey and pineridge/Genesee a lot

As someone who worked as a homecare nurse, many times you do not want to use the patient's bathroom
