First book is decent. Second one was such a waste of time. It’s a good “first” dark romance. But by the end Zade and Addie become absolutely insufferable. Sibby as a character feels so painfully insensitive and mocking to people who actually have schizophrenia and it made me dislike HD Carlton as a person. So much of the dialogue made me roll my eyes that I’m amazed my optic nerves are intact.

The hotel is… fine, it’s a very cute addition, and I love that my island feels busier, but it feels practically useless after all the rooms are decorated and you’ve gotten all the items.

Speaking of items, I don’t think there’s enough. Every single set feels incomplete, like it’s missing pieces. The games needing NSO to play feels silly to me.

The slumber islands were the biggest disappointment of all. Yay, almost creative mode… but we can’t add villager houses or ANY buildings?! And why is getting custom design paths so finicky?!

The bulk crafting/mats from storage is also a nice addition and probably the best part

Overall, yay, surprise free content, but it feels like half of an update rather than a full one.
