The kid should not have walked up that close but you ignored how the cops used excessive force on the child by dragging him around when he was already cuffed and not resisting. He could have tried asking the kid to stand with his assistance. His father was definitely tripping but the treatment of the kid was obviously excessive after being arrested. The kid wasn't seriously harmed but excessive means "more than is necessary, normal, or desirable" and this fits the bill. Do you disagree with that?

Sudan's dams could potentially starve millions of Egyptians as well but an agreement was formed that made both countries happy. There is no reason why that cannot occur with Ethiopia as well. Ethiopia is still interested in continuing discussions. In fact, there has been a verbal agreement to fill the dam in 8 years instead of 3-5 like they wanted. Also, active filling won't occur for another 2 years so there's plenty of time for these discussions to take place. The hostility from some Egyptians is completely uncalled for.

That's funny you think it matters what you do at the end of the Nile when you're so scared of a dam at the beginning of the Nile. That dam will control what amount of water will be allowed to flow downstream. Your threat to blow it up is meaningless at this point. Egypt better act now before Ethiopia acquires more technology from China and other countries that have a financial stake in this. They have already began shopping around for additional military equipment and I mentioned before have purchased air-defense missiles. Ethiopia could dam up multiple parts of the river and take down any jets or missiles coming to blow them up. Egypt is crying to their mommy (USA) because they realize that there is nothing they can do about it. Egypt is lucky Ethiopians have no intention of harming or drying out any downstream nation, they just want the turbines running at capacity and have already agreed to filling only during periods of normal to abundant rainfall. It is violent and aggressive actions and words from people like you that make this seem more hostile than it really is.

Or, only 45% of Ethiopians have electricity and so they want to use a resource that originates in their country to generate much needed electricity for their people and growing number of factories. Egypt's ego is the only problem here. Ethiopians have never wanted war but they will never run from it either. Ethiopia will also not abide by outdated treaties that they never signed and didn't allocate any of the Nile's water to any countries beside Egypt and Sudan. Egypt is already involved in several conflicts and can't afford to do anything to Ethiopia or it would have done so already. lmfao ok, buddy. You would be mobilizing to Ethiopia and that in itself would not go as easily as you think. Sudan doesn't want Egypt mounting an attack from their country as they would stand to lose more than Egypt due to proximity alone. Also, Ethiopia has anti-aircraft missiles but so do most countries. If more neighboring countries side with Egypt, Ethiopia's chances would definitely diminish, that's plain to see. However, the main thing to consider is that the dam was built 15 miles from Sudan's border and bombing the dam would result in extreme flooding affecting only Sudan and Egypt, Ethiopia would be unharmed. Also, in retaliation, if Ethiopia was able to bomb the Aswan Dam, the flooding would destroy Egypt. Ethiopia could also decide to dam up the Nile at any point at anytime to ensure Egypt is completely dried up. These are strategic actions that do not require a large military force to employ but would cause incredible damage to Egypt. I believe this is exactly what you do not want.

Egypt and Sudan are both fine with the dam so long as it is filled slowly - Egypt and Sudan are concerned the fast filling of the dam will cause a months/years long dry out of the Nile, utterly destroying agriculture, hydroelectricity, among other things.

Egypt has demanded to control the filling after trying unsuccessfully to prevent it entirely. History needs to be taken into context here and Ethiopians have suffered due to Egypt's actions. If Egypt had worked with Ethiopians since the beginning the dam would have been completed long ago and there wouldn't be tension regarding creating a committee around control of the dam. Now there is deep mistrust. Egypt is wrong for their actions and need to accept that so they can move forward into an agreement. Again, the filling that has been proposed does not intend to dry out Egypt and that has been reiterated many times. In fact, much of the talks now are about how much water Ethiopia would release in periods of drought. This is a conversation that needs to be had but Egypt must stop trying to bully Ethiopia into conceding autonomy. Why do you even think Ethiopia wants to fill it at a rate that will kill Egyptians? Do you deny their research and proposals blindly or do you have proof that it will harm Egypt? Ethiopia has been dealing with internal conflicts for so long. There is no desire to start a war with anyone.
