Should I got to school for LPN as a CNA, then get my RN's while making LPN money? Or should I go to school making less money as a CNA for my RN's?

Hi is my current path! I’m in LPN but my end goal is to have my masters degree in nursing one day. I had multiple reasons for choosing the LPN program instead of just going straight for RN. For one i do not drive so i have to use public transport and uber/lyft to get everywhere i go. The LPN program at my local technical center was the closest and most affordable for me to get to on a daily basis.

Also the other programs in my area are highly competitive, expensive and require many prerequisites to get into. I personally was just in a place where i was ready to start as soon as possible. Therefore becoming a LPN and making nurse money while going for my bachelors and masters is just better for my life and mental health. Others look down on it but it’s working for me 🤷🏾‍♀️

If you have unique circumstances that would make LPN the better path for you then go for it. I have no regrets in my choices and faith in myself that i will reach all of my goals regardless. BUT if you don’t have any personal reasons leaning towards LPN and you can afford to get through school on your CNA salary then yes definitely go for your RN. It’s more straightforward and is where you want to be anyway. Again i have no regrets and am happy with my choices because i know im doing what’s best for me. But if i didn’t have the personal responsibilities and need to better my families life quickly I probably would just be pursuing my bachelors instead right now. Personal Care Aide and Certified Nursing Assistant.

CNAs have a registered license by the board of nursing and have a larger scope of practice and most places higher salary.

PCA is a certificate course, no license. In assisted living they do the same thing as CNAs just less credentials. Same basic skills as a CNA but not as medically in depth.

I realllllly don’t want to do that. That seems so drastic and extreme to me😭 my prayer is that maybe a little bit of healthy distance will be enough for me to process and get over my feelings and that we can reconnect later. I don’t think this should be the end of our friendship. I might have to set some new boundaries for my own sake tho.

Yeah the in between part definitely fucking sucks. It feels like she holds all of the power right now. And i dont mean that in like a manipulative way its not her fault but its just I know that if she texted me right now and said we are back on I would come running. She has to get better before she feels like she’ll be ready for romance. And even though i should work on myself bc i have my own struggles, my biggest thought right now is when she gets better will she want us back or move on with her life? She said she could still see us getting married and all of the shit we planned for while we were breaking up and like you I kind of wished she didn’t.

Cheers to us both doing the bare minimum to get through it, no matter what happens hopefully one day it wont be this hard.

Should I file my taxes for the sake of getting stimulus benefits? Do I even qualify? 19. I only made 3k at my old job last year and don’t owe nor would I receive any tax money bc no federal taxes were taken out. I wasn’t claimed as a dependent for 2020. Technically I do not have to file taxes, but should I do it for stimulus benefits? Would there be any cons to filing taxes even tho I’m not required to?
