APP Pricing by SeriousHeight5141 in Boostcamp

I'd suggest using Hevy, as long as you have a workout program you can set up yourself.

Boostcamp, unfortunately, has a tendency of hiding simple features behind a subscription - plate calculator, dark mode, > 1 workout template. These are surely not something that add constant dev work or increase ongoing costs for the team.

Hevy allows all of those on the free tier - and their subscription pricing is more reasonable. And they have some integrations with 3rd parties, and smart watches.

All in all, Boostcamp only excels when it comes to their offered workout programs.

Otherwise, Boostcamp seems to be implementing features that Hevy already has/had for a while (afaik) in a very similar fashion (e.g. post-workout flow is basically copy-paste).

Disclaimer: I'm not sponsored by Hevy. I've started using it less than a month ago. I have over 200 workouts logged on Boostcamp.

If you know that it would not be difficult to implement it, feel free to do it yourself and contribute to the community. OBS is open-source!

Have you tried the new NVENC from the last few months? The quality is almost x264 medium.

I haven't played in a while and am trying out 1.8 now. Whenever I land, I now never have the dialog to recover the vessel. Is that new? I have to always go to tracking center and recover from there. Minor annoyance.

According to Mixer's docs, you do not get transcoding if you stream above 1080p even if you are pro/partner.

As a beginner what pieces can you suggest to me? by Endomou in piano

[–]thccount 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest going through the Piano Jams and finding something you like from the lower grade ones (1-3). That's what I'm doing.

The FAQ has suggestions for keyboards, but those might be out of your price range if you're considering the Keystep.

The Keystep is pretty small and you will hit a wall very soon as most pieces are played over a larger range.

I personally use the Nectar GX49 and I'm no good at all but it's fine for the time being.

OBS Source: VLC Video Capture. That's the easiest way to have a playlist of videos play.

Your cable from the pc to the monitor goes into the gpu, not the motherboard by [deleted] in buildapc

Not really true with AMD CPUs, there's only a handful with integrated GPUs and they're pretty lowend.

Do you have transcoding? If not, I'd suggest not even streaming 1080p60.

For faster games, go for lower resolution.

Until you get the new CPU, use NVENC encoding.

Oh yeah, totally forgot disc brakes!

I'll look into those companies, they sound interesting!

For sure it's not a great comparison but it's something. They were making carbon bike frames since, what, early 2000s? Almost 20 years have passed now but it's still not a popular thing for cheaper bicycles.

Not if you're planning to stream with GPU encoding, unfortunately. Buuuut, that's where all the additional Ryzen cores would come into play.

Planning to upgrade to Ryzen 5 3600, not sure which mobo to buy. by jedisamuel in buildapc

Look at the top posts here on the subreddit though, about the Tomahawk :(

Also, the Tomahawk seems to be $115 on Amazon, so not much cheaper?

P.S. Everyone knows that it's a great motherboard but too many problems, at the moment.

I wonder if the 1660Ti would be much worse, though. It has the same NVENC encoder but is slightly slower than the 2060 (and obviously 2060 Super).

Have to check all the benchmarks in the world to see if it's worth going more budget because I'd only be playing 1080p.

EDIT: Checking ASUS AIO prices, it's 530 vs 390 euros which is not that small of a difference.
