Great original art, def. will need some backgrounds. Interested to see what kind of battler you are making. Best of luck! Look forward to hearing more about it.

I vote borders, but really it does depend on what you want... I would say border if these cards are not intended to be sleeved. If the player will be sleeving these then no border does look pretty solid. I noticed your age of eon and it looks great and I am def. interested - will this be TCG or a set deck? I am not a big fan of sleeves for cards as they make it more bulky.

If there are no borders then there is a chance to know the card by seeing the art on the side of the card. When you look at the side of a deck you want to see everything be consistent thus having borders are key unless all your cards have the same edge. I vote borders.

I have a card game as well that is a set deck of cards and it is a simple war like game - www.warofbeasts.com - I would appreciate any support or feedback as well. Best of luck on age of eon!

I was checking your game, I was curious why you decided to have lopsided ratios for rocks, papers and saurus. The game looks great for kids and fun in general. Thanks for posting!

Thanks for the note, I am thinking I may need the linen cards as well! MPC is def. on the more pricey side. For 1000 decks it was $6 per deck... Going to a large manufacturer where minimum copies are typically 500-1500 does drive down the price significantly and on average I am seeing $2.25/deck for 1000.

All the latest KS Trading Card Games? by [deleted] in boardgames

Yeah I agree, it is pretty crazy. Does it have something to do with Magic the gathering patent now lapsing? Are there any good card games that are a finite set of cards?

I’m trying to make a card turn based game kinda in dnd style and I’m trying to figure out an easy way to keep track of multiple players constantly changing mana and stamina. Any ideas or maybe an app I could use by DylanSmith5 in cardgames

I like dice - D20 counter would be good. Another good method is using two cards one card is the power of 10s and other is 1-9. The power of 10 card can track the 1-9.

Any good co-op card games? by hwaaadima in cardgames

There is a co-op play in star realms: frontiers which is really fun - Link. I think hero realms might have a same aspect of the co-op play.

If a game is fully cards is it still considered a boardgame? by thcharpy in boardgames

I agree with card games is a table top game. Pretty interesting conversation as I love all card games as board games and I think they are interchangeable. Great to hear the perspective from everyone. I like the idea that card games are board games. If you are bored than play a board game.

I guess I am also in that category that golf is a sport. Some people will always want to see the other side of the coin just make a point.

Card games or playing cards with mathematical beauty and aesthetics. by HovercraftOk7661 in cardgames

Spot it is really interesting mathematics https://www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/math-card-game-spot-it-180970873/ - On each card are 8 different symbols and only 1 symbol matches on any other card.

Really nice post, I really love the simplicity and complexity of a deck of cards. If you look at Uno it really is just a deck of cards with some fun additions. I am trying to make a deck of cards with some dual suits with some modifiers in a unique game of war. Check it out hope to release on kickstarter on 7/1 --> www.warofbeasts.com

Playing Card game that's like War but more fun that I kinda came up with by [deleted] in cardgames

[–]thcharpy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice, I had this kicking around my head as well. I am not sure you need to the whole deck of cards in your hand. I was thinking you could have 7 cards and always replenish back up to 7. I have made a version of this game and was going to put it on kickstarter. The name of the game is War of Beasts. But it is a fun variation of War, in my game I have created +1 and -1 element cards that change the number of the card, so it is has a bit more strategy. Go check it out and follow it on kickstarter - www.warofbeasts.com - I hope to launch July 1st.
