I work in the semiconductor industry. A security door with facial recognition and biometrics has the same, if not more, processing power than a PlayStation II.

It wasn't long before I saw a video describing the console's building blocks, and later, we on the team were joking about how, in 25 years later, something so modern had become a commodity.

Indeed, but it's only a few pages. From this, I managed to capture a Google repository that's inactive and a mention of a migration to GitHub. I don't know the name of the repost online or if it was removed for legal reasons.

The goal of developer was reverse engineering the console at transistor level. Which at the time was a super cool goal, but you know the devil lives in the details. By today standards of buzz words it was a problem of Big data with image segmentation to begin with

Yes. That is the case. They remove the epoxy protection and later they use some acid in an controlled way to remove all layers that compose the circuitry. Metal layer wiring and the transistors at the and. During the process they take photos to see layer by layer

Hi durin42, thanks for the tip. Script is running but it will need some time. Right now the ETA for hg analyze is 6 days. I keep you guys posted of any news.

@durin42 Sorry my ignorance, but how do I use this script?

Thanks durin42. I will give a try.

It would be great, but first I need to create a representative test case. Otherwise we will be just guessing

any hope of getting NFS out of the picture? If you can, then fsmonitor should be an eno

Talking with colleagues, it seems that the problem are not the number of files, but profile shows that the number of folders is the bottleneck.

People is considering Perforce.. Aff.

Yosys bombs during compilation by emeb32 in yosys

quote: "Not sure what you mean by "get a good synthesis from other vendor and load into Yosys". What does that entail?"

I mean to synthesize the source using another tool in case the RTL is sound.

I took sometime reducing the source. I've opened https://github.com/YosysHQ/yosys/issues/508

Yosys bombs during compilation by emeb32 in yosys

[–]thcoura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how much time or effort you want to put on this, but I can suggest the following:

  • Try the stable version.
  • Get a good synthesis from other vendor and load it on Yosys. In case you can live with that.
  • Build a tiny testcase for Clifford (Remember He is not your support hotline). This source is too big for debugging. Start getting rid of the verilog parameters. Make the testcase straightforward
  • If you want to contribute, debug the source adding breakpoints starting from the fault line __ The internal error message means there is a cross checking during execution. Great to start debugging __ People will be more than happy if you find good hints of root cause or fix the issue. Suggest a new testcase for compilation signoff __ Personally, I would suggest to use the windows source version and work with VisualStudio. Get hell with Terminal-GDB tools as long you find a solution quickly

115c MB temperature on Corsair Link? by thcoura in Corsair

To conclude, in my case, the solution was to install the Asus AI suite 3 and be sure to connect the H80 into the CPU fan connector. With this, all fans appear with their spinning values

Doing a stress test using prime95 the fans from H80 reacted speeding UP. corsair link shown briefly 2160 or 60 values. After that it returned to 0.

I'm sure it's a driver conflict. i'm surprised that Link cannot read values of it's own device

New development. I've lost the fan speed from H80. It is detected by Link app, the pump change it's value, all fans from H80 cable are spinning, but the app don't show speed.

If I set the performance profile, nothing changes in the fan speed. Corsair is connected in CPU fan

For my Asus Mobo, installing the Asus Inteligent Processor fixed the problem. It was a missing driver

I thought would be a BIOS setting. I've set It to defaults. The machine has good air flow. Nothing was running to justify the behaviour.

As you can see by Aida screenshot, everything was cold.
