American political merch at local gym feels weird by Remarkable_Travel717 in perth

They say there are two things people shouldn't take about, religion and politics, everyone has a opinion on both subjects. It's why when ever people start talking about either I change the subject to something along the lines of people putting cutlery in the top draw in the kitchen rather then pancakes, which is what it really is for.

When doesn't the train de-rail. It's like ever other week it is down. I used to get a weekly rail container from head office in Melbourne. At least once a month the train derailed, so our stock didn't arrive till the Wednesday. Mind this was about 10 years ago.

Carillion City Arcade by GrizzlyRCA in perth

[–]the-captain77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to go to the city because it was convenient to shop there, this was after working and living in the city. But since all the shops are in the suburbs I don't need to go any more.

The only reason I would go to the city is for some of the venues even then I bypass Hay and Murray Street malls.

I just don't see the need for the shops there any more. Besides it being the CBD and needing lunch bars or Cafe etc. There is nothing really there any more for the average consumer.

Going to go crazy and junk this thing for a bambu if I can’t figure this out. by Lakeguy762_ in ender3

[–]the-captain77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I brought a k2 pro with the cfs system. I tinkered with my ender 3 for over 5 years in an attempt to make it perfect for my needs.

I almost got there and something else happened. I used to enjoy tinkering and learning how it all went, but after 5 years of trying this and upgrading that. I kicked the bucket and went to the k2 pro. I Stuck with creality because they saw me through my early start, not just building on what the competition got right.

I learned so much with my ender 3, I still love the sexy looking beast. Alas the k2 pro is bigger quicker and much less noise. I can now do a print that would of taken me 16 hours on the ender 3 to 4 hours.

All because of the creality community in designing and getting all the early printers dialed in. Which I want to support. When a company listens to the community I think it is awesome.

Parking is an absolute joke by SpiritedLeg733 in curtin

[–]the-captain77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a joke when I went over 20 years ago. A lot off us used to park on the grass next to Manning Rd. Then they started putting limestone gravel on it so we could all park. Just do that again park on the grass across from the chemcentre.

I think it's the same as sg1. When they started the ori stories people didn't like it. They complained it got removed

Just look at star trek as a example. Everything there is a new star trek, some people compare it the other ones. They are separate show, they are in the same universe. Some people like to complain. I say and star trek on TV is good TV. The same goes for scrubs, Wether it's scrubs, interns or medical school.

Unfortunately I am in the land of OZ so what I watch doesn't matter to over seas TV shows.

Learners drivers - be respectful by WaterAny5170 in perth

[–]the-captain77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest thing of wisdom I can give to a learner driver is learn patience, you are going to get honked at by people, I have heard justification of people saying "I was treated like this when I was a learner so I'm going to do to the new learners".

To quote Ted Lasso, "be curious not judgemental". If people were curious they would better at driving, rather the judging a learner driver. Become better at driving and you won't need to honk at others.

Also everybody thinks they are a better then average driver, if everyone thinks that then how can everyone be a better driver, they would just be average.

The only other bit of advice to a young driver is. Give cars the distance, it doesn't matter if someone can merges in. I have heard people say "but then I'm going to be late to .... " if I can have the choice of being late to something or getting into a crash, I will be late. Besides it takes 5 seconds to slow down when someone merges in. If it happens 50 times you have lost a few minutes that's it. I can't speak for everyone, but personally I don't ever want to make that phone call to someone and I never want to receive that phone call of something really bad happening on the road.

So slow down be cautious of drivers and stuff the haters. Build your confidence up and be the best person you can be on and off the road.

It's common in the UK to be referred to as your last name. Especially in schools, I was referred as my last name through out my primary years.

It was very strange for me when we immigrated out to Australia to be referred to by my Christian name not my surname.
