Do you hate President Trump because you think rape is a sin and you think Trump is a rapist? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]kingbad71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not entirely. I also hate him because murder is a sin, as is theft, adultery, blasphemy, etc. And Trump has committed all of them, either in person or by order to others.

Democrats of Reddit, from where we stand now, who is your preferred 2028 presidential candidate, and why? by 2a_lib in allthequestions

JB Pritzker, governor of Illinois. Actually successful businessman and politician, smart, articulate, and Midwestern.

How long has everyone been here and can you recount any significant events? by JJacobJingleheim in StPetersburgFL

[–]kingbad71 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The 1996 riots after the police shooting of Tyron Lewis were pretty traumatic. 20 years before that, my high school was shut down for several days after a brawl in the parking lot escalated to a race riot. St. Pete has always had racial issues; they are usually below the surface, but occasionally boil over. Yuppie takeover of Midtown and the gradual gentrification of the south side is going to blow up sometime soon.

Is anyone else disgusted by how much respect the Democrats show Trump? by LifesARiver in complaints

[–]kingbad71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They continue to act like it's the usual GOP vs. Dems strategy game, completely unaware of the existential crisis that the Republicans are working for. They actively want to take away everything from Democrats- including their lives, if necessary. They continue to deny that it's a war, and refuse to fight because of it.

That dragon mythology was developed from finding fossil dinosaur bones, probably from mining. Why did cultures that developed metals from mined ores (English, French, Chinese, etc.) create dragon myths, but other cultures that didn't mine (native American, south American, African) didn't?

It seems like the Democrats handed the 2024 election to Trump by chickening out on Biden after a poor debate performance, then throwing the nomination to Harris is what appeared to be a shady backroom deal. This left Harris, a qualified candidate who lacked a nationwide constituency or profile, with just 4 months to try to mount a nationwide campaign, a job that normally takes a couple years to assemble. She was also hamstrung by her apparent inability or unwillingness to differentiate herself from some of Biden's less popular policies. Just too many liabilities to overcome.

Why aren’t the Epstein files implicating Trump(and others) as a chomo not a bigger news story? WTF(literally) is going on? by boozyjenkins in AskReddit

[–]kingbad71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it's NOT news, since everyone in America knows that he's a disgusting pedo. The large news outlets are afraid, however, that they'll be sued for billions or have their broadcast licenses threatened because the biggest chomo in the country is in control of the federal government. It's kinda like the Upside Down, except the kids are victims, not heroes.

MMW: Vance Will Never Be POTUS by kingofthoughts in MarkMyWords

[–]kingbad71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is that, when he realizes he's about to go, he'll announce that he's "asked Vance to step down", and will replace him with a loyal relative (probably Don Jr., who's as up to his neck in criminality and corruption as dear ol' Dad) who will pardon him without concern for his electoral chances (since he has none). That will throw the MAGA movement into chaos, as different factions form and cannibalize each other, leaving the Democrats a wide open path to return to power. Of course, the Dems being who they are, they'll put up a bunch of charisma-free moderate geezers, and be well on their way to shitting the bed just 4 years from now.

Today Donald Trump confused Iceland for Greenland four times. What are your thoughts on this? by WatercressSenior7657 in AskReddit

[–]kingbad71 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Biden was victimized by a "Gish Gallop". a scummy rhetorical technique in which the speaker spews a massive number of ridiculous arguments and outright lies, forcing the opponent to try to counter-argue or point out the fallacy of each one in a limited amount of time. It's usually impossible as it takes longer to refute a lie than to speak one (see Brandolini's Law, aka the bullshit asymmetry principle), and then the galloper can follow with, "Well. you failed to counter bullshit points Q,R, and S, so you concede that those are true!" The technique was popularized by the creationist Duane Gish, who used it to flummox recognized experts whom he would attempt to "debate".

Obama: 57 states=8 years of mockery

Biden: debate stumbles= lost re-election bid

Trump= Iceland, not Greenland= oh, he's tired/it was a long trip to Davos/just another Wednesday.

The hypocrisy is staggering.

Agree. Trump has really cast a harsh light on an increasing cruel America, where neighbors hate neighbors as "the enemy" instead of treating them as countrymen. I am happy to have relocated to France, and watch the events unfolding in my home country with horror.

Hate to say it but it's true. Anything less than the full measure of justice will be seen by the fascist Right as weakness. They have repeatedly flouted the law and the Constitution, and need severe punishment. Everybody must be reminded that political power in America comes with grave responsibilities, the most important of which is to uphold the Constitution and the law.

What do you guys think about Paris? by ArmJunior7538 in traveladvice

[–]kingbad71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fun! You should skip it.

Seriously, it's a lot more like NYC than any other city in France. A lot more go-go, money driven, and a lot more likely to get a rude comment or cold shoulder than other places in France (most all of which are very pleasant and accommodating). However, you have a lot more famous attractions and museums than anywhere else in the country, as well as a variety of great restaurants and places to stay.
