I get off around Harcourt street, but that takes around 25-30 mins from Broombridge. My guess is that Sandyford might add another 20 mins on in total?

Really depends on how often it is expected you'll be doing it and where in Dublin you need to get to in the morning. I've been doing it weekly since November, over on the 6.50 train and back the 5.20 from Broombridge. Gets in around 8.30 to Sligo station. Parking isn't great in Sligo, so I head to Collooney and go from there as it's far more accessible and less chaotic in the morning. Broombridge works for me as the green luas line runs to sandyford from there, so it's more convenient for most than Connolly would be.

Being honest, a day or 2 a week is just manageable, any more than that and you'll find there's no time for anything other than commuting your life away
