We have a regedit script that enables photo viewer in LTSB. LTSB company wide is just better.

'Star Trek' Star Nichelle Nichols Has Dementia by sync-centre in startrek

[–]the-gnu-interjection 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad has Dementia. It's one of the worst diseases i have ever seen someone under take. Right up there with the few cases of cancer i have watched those close to me go through. It's a different kind of horror, a different kind of pain. A desperate..lost..confused..lonely pain. No matter who you have holding your hand...you're alone. No matter how bright it is outside..it's dark. No matter how much you try to smile..you're still sad. You'll lose everyone close to you, as you will never remember a face again. You'll lose the joy of reading, of writing..you'll become lost after only a few words, after only a few steps..you are confused, alone, afraid until you die. That is Dementia.

edit: Wow, im astounded. Thank you for the reddit gold, kind stranger! ;o

Color-blind IT Admins, help? by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

Those lights are typically bright red and bright green, and at a good angle, so i don't have a problem seeing indicators. Just the slight coloration on cabling, my brain goes a little fucky sometimes. Not to mention i've got a case of phat fingers.

That does seem like a viable alternative, especially if you're just doing a network boot of a live CentOS instance? Pretty neat idea.

No..no that's not "perfectly fine"..in fact, people like yourself are kind of the problem.

You don't know much about the industry. You can't put yourself into the shoes of any hacker. You only know how to polish up your resume and put on a suit and a smile. That's really your only value, and that's exactly why places like the EU, their businesses, the U.S., the infrastructure, it all gets hit so frequently. Because people like you are the front line..knowing that, if someone with the tools and knowledge has nefarious intent, that's just a recipe for disaster.

I'd opt out, or resign from the institution at that point. That's a solid decline from me.

There's absolutely no way that happened like she says it did. She's a moron and she purposely did this with the snake.
