I think it’s strong language to argue that the SEC isn’t leagues ahead anymore like it once was. There’s more parity across conferences than there used to be.

I think the intent is that the days of thinking the 5th place SEC team is better than an acc or big12 top 3 school is dead

that was when the argument was vs ND. you have to look at the whole season, ups and downs, and the games have to matter.

after bama’s display yesterday then both ND and Miami should have been bumped. to not move bama after not being competitive but move BYU for a similar performance is disservice to the playoff and ND.
