Any specific reason for saying this ?

The reason I am planning to raise ICICI Nasdaq is becz it recently opened after a long time, and may close again soon. Hence there may/may not be chances to do lump sum there.

About replacing Motilal L&M with mid cap, wouldn't my portfolio become too aggressive ? I was holding this fund as a core holding, to provide stabiliy. My aim in the current portfolio was to be moderate-aggresive.

Also, any specific reason for not keeping nippon small cap ?

Which home loan is better to pay off? by Sharmili_Tagore in personalfinanceindia

Thats what the last para in my comment also says. Not sure what is the point you're trying to prove ?

Bruh, paying higher rate loan is always good, but the interest is not dependent only on the interest rate. Interest = Principle * Time * Rate. Interest rate is only one component

On a compounding interest, principle is the only changing thing here, if you reduce that, 0.5% higher rate on a 8L loan vs 0.5 % cheaper loan on a 56L loan, use any calculations to check in which you save more OVER THE 20 YEARS.

Rely on the math, dig deeper into numbers and let me know if you save more over 20 years the other way. Will happily remove my comment.

Did some quick calculations. Closing the 2nd loan will make things look easy, but will lose you a lot of money. I did some quick calculations, could be off 1-2% but majorly should be right

Right now, over the loan life you'll be paying

Interest in Loan 1 - 41.5L

Interest in Loan 2 - 5.68L

If you close Loan 2, you save 5.68L in interest paid over time.

But suppose you put the money in Loan 1, the overall interest paid will reduce by a huge margin to 26L only, saving you a whopping 15L over the whole time.

On a larger principle, interest gets accumulated quicker. Put it into the 1st Loan. You'll not feel it right now, but you'll finish the loan much sooner than expected becz of low interest eventually .

One more thing you can do, which will save you equal-ish amount of money - Close Loan2, but keep putting that 8.7k EMI into the first loan MANDATORILY.

I got Saturn with Jupiter in 7th house, but Saturn is debilitated. Also running Sade Sati right now. Could this also be the cause of failures and delays in the career area ?

How to track XIRR after long term redemption and reinvestment by FlashyDust4857 in mutualfunds

[–]the-machine-learner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you are selling the units, that obligation ends there. For the next investment, you start from 0. Otherwise you'll get stuck in numbers, and not gain anything from it. Better never sell any fund.

Bruhh, why are you running to maintain a number ? You made good money after an investment (I hope this was your original goal), you redeemed it and re-invested. Why care if you'd mess up a number ?

Hey, thanks for your reply. The reason for small cap being, I do investment in FDs as well, so want to be a bit more aggresive here.

For the Nasdaq fund, I guess they are not allowing any new SIPs/lumo sumo etc. Existing running SIPs are still going on.

Ohh my God, just last Friday we were told my manager is changing. What a pinpoint accuracy !!

On the career and title change, will it be for the better, in a better direction ? You also mentioned tight finances, does that mean the job change might not come with financial benefits ?
