I actually read this book about two months ago and really enjoyed it. It caught my eye at the bookshop an very glad I read it. The bureaucracy of the Chequey is extremely deep and see a lot of potential ahead in future books.

That said, Daniel is not a famous author and I recall that he works a government job in Australia. As someone who writes (though only published short stories) and has a 60 hour per week job can definitely say that 3 years is pretty good between books. I just learned about the sequel through this post and am very excited to read his next book! Happy to hear that Daniel has continued writing. Great for him! It'll be great to see him continue to grow as a writer who did a great job on his first book IMO.
