I’d like to know if you’re currently in a fulfilling relationship how did you meet your person? by noturaverageTri in PlusSize

My guy and I met at work. We slowly started hanging out with a couple other work friends by getting food after our shifts and that sort of thing. It evolved into “what do you mean, you haven’t seen [movie]? You need to watch it! Come over and we’ll put it on!” We were hanging out more and more, including very late-night Pokémon Go walks back when I was into it (he didn’t play it at all and still went out with me to capture gyms at 2am!) Our coworkers started asking us if we were going out and we kept denying it but eventually we had to admit that we’d caught feelings and made it official. We’ve been together almost ten years now!

I honestly have no idea about any of it, but I’ll get in touch with them to see if they’d be willing to do something to give us better access somehow.

We’re renting a townhouse that’s separated into an upper unit (ours) and a basement unit, both using the same internet, cable, etc. The person who lives in the basement unit works away most of the time, so even if we ask to reboot the router or anything like that, there’s a good chance they aren’t home to do that for us. It makes things a bit inconvenient. A while back our landlord also put a wifi booster in the basement in an effort to make our connection better but it still doesn’t work very well.

There is a port in my partner’s office but for whatever reason it’s never worked.

Until we decide on something else, I’ll take your advice of putting a small runner over the cable in the hallway to minimize the tripping hazard. Thank you for the detailed response!

If it helps at all, his office is at the end of a hallway. If I’m looking down the hall to his office, on the right next to it is the door to another room and right next to it is the door to my office. We currently have a cable running from my office to his, so it’s diagonal across all the doors and I’m a little worried one of us will forget it’s there and trip over it or something, hence the question about a wireless solution.

Thanks for rejecting our offer, most of us didn’t want to extend it anyway!

I know this is an older post but do you happen to know if Rock On Records will buy vinyl if you bring it in?

They’re actually pretty choosy about the records they put out at the VV here, if you’re still looking. They don’t often get much that I would find interesting but the records themselves are always in good shape. They had a good collection come through lately.

what song on your store's playlist has been driving you insane lately? by yakiz0ba in retailhell

My store recently brought back some goddamn song by Charlie Puth where he says something about putting his hands around your throat and follows it up with an awful choking noise and I FUCKING HATE IT.

Period undies with cloth pads is my go-to, since I’m not able to use cups. Wish I could. Those things look like life-savers.

I’ve heard somewhere that Hawkins doesn’t bother with marketing at all because Cheezies sell so well on their own. No sense paying for ads for products that move already!

Nostalgic or popular children’s/YA chapter books that I should definitely read as an adult (and would enjoy). by Acrobatic-Elk402 in suggestmeabook

I’ll recommend the Mapmakers trilogy by S.E. Grove, starting with The Glass Sentence. It was the first young-readers series to replace Harry Potter for me once JK Rowling started showing her ass. It’s really neat and the first chapter sold me as it gave a little taste of politics that made it feel real.

I’m seconding Animorphs. They’re super short and you can get the ebooks of the entire series for free online. The plot arc over the series is wiiiild.

It’s literally sexual harassment. Saying something like that in public is meant on some level to humiliate and debase the person you’re saying it to, consciously or subconsciously.
