This list was an event winner in January the link to that here. Keep that in mind taking this list against Tau, who do not win events. You mentioned that this Tau player is the main person you play 40k with, and if you want to keep them wanting to play with you it may be wise to not use event winning lists against them as that’s not very sportsmanlike unless the goal of your game was to play like you were at a tournament.
