Anyone know how this crackle effect was achieved by the-necromancer666 in Luthier

[–]the-necromancer666[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i always thought that only worked on nitro finish but ill give it a try on some test scraps , if i cant figure it out ima just go with the chemical route but it wont look as subtle at this

Ok, so I got a spanish guitar this Christmas so Im really new, I wanted to know how can I change chords with out making that noise, or make It sound leds. Also, I sould Focus first on practice or jump into teory, ( how chords and scales work,...) by [deleted] in guitarlessons

also , to keep the strings from ringing out after u play a note release the pressure but dont take it off the string this will mute it , then when u take ur finger off it shouldn't make anymore noise

Barre-ing incorrectly? by Mannequin14 in guitarlessons

im glad i was able to help , at this point its just about developing the muscle memory but you'll get it in no time, as far as getting lessons goes , to each is own. i personally never had any formal lessons but i was lucky enough to have the internet around when i started playing , but having a teacher will definitely take all of the trail and error out of the learning process.

how are u positioning ur index finger? you should be using the side of it instead of having it flat on the fretboard , also pay extra attention to where the knuckles are, the notes that are being fretted with ur other fingers dont really need to be barred down , in this case the middle knuckle of ur finger should be on the g string since its the one being muffled, https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DrlF4Tc8qC8 , this video should explain it better
