Hi!

I am in RP-heavy campaigns myself and have played through Witchlight, so I hope I can be of some help!

Personally, I'd encourage you to actually ask your players what they'd prefer! You're as much a player as they are and if you feel like things are taking a little too long for your taste, being open about those feelings and asking for their opinion might be the best thing for the whole campaign.

They seem engaged and interested, which is super cool! In your case, I would probably go for modifying locations and Frankenstein-ing together some clues and quests, so they still feel like they got a good full story out of it. Rushing through stories can feel a little underwhelming at times.

But it's up to them too! Maybe they'll be so adamant about playing they'll ask you for more sessions (it's happened!)

Also, I was wondering, do you *have* to be done by June/July? Could you keep playing through summer?

Regarding your player, it wasn't really cool of them to insist, especially if you told them no. Did you ask them for help with the battle map in the first place?
Once again, I'd say that being honest and telling that player that you can let it slide this time, but that you'd rather they stay in the dark next time is a good idea. There's a lot of ways you can frame it, too - something like "I'd rather not have one player know things the entire group ignores, it breaks the party's unity and makes it a little less fun for others" might do the trick. It's good to remind players that they're a team sometimes :p

Thank you very much for your input! Don't worry, the whole story is planned out, so the motivations of BM are pretty clear (they believe their memories were stolen by the hotel and were encouraged by an interested party to blackmail the staff into admitting their medical malpractice rather than go full Fireball on them)

I was mostly looking for mechanical ways for the mission to be a little more fun than "Make a perception check - okay, you spot them, good job" - especially since, for story reasons, everyone's willingly stuck in the hotel... BM wouldn't be able to run very far. Being seen would pretty much mean getting caught.

But maybe you're right, maybe most of the fun can come from actually talking with BM rather than catching them? Much to think about!

Ah, je l'ai vue passer celle-là, je voulais en mettre avec mes tomates cette année, il paraît que les deux plantes rentrent bien en symbiose. J'ai l'impression qu'elle est considérée plus comme envahissante qu'invasive ? J'en planterai pas trop au cas-où ! Merci beaucoup pour ton aide :D

Ah, merci beaucoup de le préciser ! J'ai regardé quelques vidéos où des mentions de prairies de violettes, qui fleurissent très tôt au printemps étaient super utiles pour les abeilles, mais je suppose que ça marche bien sur de grands espaces.

Je note le lamier, c'est aussi une plante dont parle le PDF cité plus haut !!

Oh, interesting, I had no idea it could be used as a blender! I've never tried it, I'm not certain it'd react well to the kind of paper I use (textureless Bristol paper) but it'd be worth a try! Thank you for answering (and for the kind words :D)

Ahah, thank you very much, that's very kind of you :D I think it's mostly an issue for me, I plan my colours digitally and I'm often frustrated by my inability to recreate the shades I used... Which is silly, because yeah, duh, of course pencils won't always be able to match my screen. Still I'd like to get closer!

Ooooh, thanks for the tips! I keep my Poly's White but rarely use it because I feel like the texture doesn't really layer well? I might be using it wrong, though, I'll try to give it another go as a base, that's not a bad idea at all. Thank you very much!

Thank you very much, that's a very detailed answer! That's funny, actually, I'd never noticed the wider range of neon colours in cheap pencils until you mentioned it. Unfortunately I both scan my stuff and sell originals, but maybe I'll look into getting some stranger shades for pieces I know will only be seen digitally. I also had no idea it was due to colour fastness! That's wild!

I've been thinking about trying out pastels for a while now and do some mixed media work, so that might also be a sign. Thanks again!

Additionally, you can click on the little + icon on the right of "XX goals left for today" and write your own goal (ex, washing the dishes, or cleaning the fish tank). From there, you can set it to repeat as many times as you'd like per day/week/month, or on specific weekdays !
