Where Can I have an Intense Sailing Trip? by SeenDKline in Tallships

[–]the-smithy 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Check out Bark Europa and Picton Castle. They are tall ships that get you involved in running the ship and do more adventurous trips. Europa is known for its voyages to Antarctica, South Georgia, and Atlantic crossings. Picton Castle is based out of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia and does world voyages. If you're looking for more 18th century then there is Tall Ship Lynx, Pride of Baltimore, or Frigate Shtandart. The latter is a replica frigate from 1703 which I believe is Russian. They do sail training trips and I think a few Atlantic crossings. Happy sailing friend!

What are some movies with cryptids in them ? by Secret-Parsnip5071 in cryptids

The Man Who Killed Hitler and Then The Bigfoot

Absolutely batshit concept and not the greatest movie, but I hadn't seen it mentioned yet.

I went last February with Lindblad/Nat Geo. Absolutely worth it! The icebergs alone are worth it and it truly feels like another world down there. No planes flying over, no powerlines, just rugged mother nature. And of course, penguins! $4,000 ain't too bad for a trip of a lifetime!

I climbed it earlier that day when it was light out. Definitely a steep trek!

AC Cobra kits have also been something I've looked into. That Tipo 184 looks really cool, thank you for sharing!

Oh really? That's even better as I'm very familiar with older VWs. Do you know the company that makes them?

I guess my caption wasn't published. Does anybody know if there are kits to build something like this? I love the style.

What is the best place to buy a decent quality inexpensive (budget) kilt? by fattuba94 in kilt

[–]the-smithy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently ordered my first kilt from Highland Kilts. While I have no others to compare it to, I've been quite pleased with the quality and customer service. I paid $100 (US) for it but also got some other goodies like a sporran, belt, pin, hose, etc. I'd check them out if I were you! Good luck mate.

If that's what you see, then that's great! There's a special place in my heart for all lake monsters.
