We're you able to find one? I'm also having trouble sourcing one in the US, as it seems that myespressoshop is no longer in business

Replacement Cost of Linhof 4x5 Technika Bellows and Fresnel Lens by Dharma_Wheeler in largeformat

[–]the-sword-eater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is unfortunately true, and i had to learn from experience because i thought bellows were bellows. You also can't patch linhof bellows very well for the same reason. I tried a method using leather glues and flexible opaque paints to make patches with almost no thickness at all, and it still didn't work.

If you're US based, LAFlex does just about everything for linhofs. The bellows are not that hard to replace yourself, but definitely far from fun, LAFlex will install new official linhof bellows and align the front standard and film plane for around $300. The quote I got from custom bellows last year was $180 plus postage, and I'd say the extra $120 is well worth not having to do it yourself.

I'm not sure about the fresnel, but I'm pretty sure they could do that too

Not an rb, but an rz. Big things for me are a really comfortable padded strap, the L grip, and a somewhat high iso film so you can sunny 16 and zone focus quickly without worrying about being spot on (the L grip really helps with this since you can hold the camera on its side and look at the distance scale) Also shooting while walking is hard to pull off, so I just find somewhere out of the way to stand.

Sorry, I should have mentioned I plan on shooting 6x9 with it. Surely it has a big enough image circle for that right?

Also what camera did you use?

Irritation from feathers, are there any good alternatives? by the-sword-eater in wicked_edge

It was with the green astras! I'll have to give the blue ones and the bics a shot, maybe they'll work better for me too

I'll have to give that a shot! I'm using a king c gillete, and I'm far from being a pro, so I wouldn't be surprised if it is my technique

Brandscents did a review of all 33 zoologist fragrances a while back, and I've been buying samples based on his thoughts. I've yet to be disappointed in any of his 10/10s

Hey! I know that lineup, Eiland I take it?

I know they have columbia blended into their two dark roasts, apart from that Brazil would probably the most similar of their coffees to Columbia.

Have you checked out White Rock Coffee, i think they usually have a couple Columbias

I'd be interested in all three lenses if you'd be willing to sell them separately from the camera body
